Currently sitting on my rump, thinking about maybe raking up some of those orange maple leaves that now blanket the yard. They really look quite beautiful, but they do need to be raked up. They're starting to fade from that pretty yellow-orange to a more brown color.

Okay, I'll finish up on here, take a pic or two of it, then clean some up.

I wanna see a pic =)

Coughing, after raking lots of leaves and kicking up (and breathing in) all sorts of fun stuff.

But at least I haven't had to blow my nose in a few hours....

Aww, that sucks. Is it possible to get a change of scenery? Maybe go for a walk? Have lunch at a restaurant? Anything?

Sorry for the late reply Mikey, I only just got to this thread now.

I like going on walks, and I used to go on them often, alone at night. Me and my ipod. But recently it has become very cold, So I might just wait a bit on it. A change of scenery is what I need, my room is my home, I'm pretty much in my room all the time unless I need to collect my food from downstairs or I need to use the bathroom. I have some books I want to read, and I can't do it in my room, I cant seem to read in complete silence especially right in front of my computer lol, I tried with music 2 but it did not work. I few days ago tried taking my book downstairs to read at night, I ended up watching spongebob on tv and eating biscuits LOL.

I have lots of things on my mind you see, from the course I applied to do via open university in may they need to get back to me on financial support, to finding a job, to getting money because I NEED SO MUCH THINGS, and I dont have enough money :( Im having to save up bit by bit, currently paying my overdraft off ( it was 500 pounds before, but now I need to put 260 more in) which will be completely paid off by december 7th via jobseekers money. Which is probably one reason why I am so depressed, due to all that debt, Im having to pay that off before even considering anything I want to buy for myself. And I went into that debt because I was bored! So I started gambling online and I lost it all! So I excluded myself from that betting site now. It all boils down to being stuck in my room!

I can understand what you mean about your room being your home, as I have similar trouble when I'm actually at home. You should definitely turn your computer off and start reading, if that's what you want to do. If you can't read in complete silence, have some background music - something you can hear, but you can tune out to. Might make a big difference. :)

Not enough money is one of the biggest stress-inducers out there. Good thing you excluded yourself from that site, as you may have saved yourself even more heartache. I hope you can be free of debt soon.

Lol, my room is definately my home. Its like separate from other parts of my house, its my house lol. I do want to read haha but I just cant pull myself to turn my computer off and sit there reading in my room lol Its such a hard thing to do haha. I will find a way, I believe in myself. The background music has to be something I dont like I guess, I tried the music route today actually I was like hey let me see If I could get interested in reading If I listen to an album of my fav band at the same time, yeah that didn't work too well as you probably guessed lol.

Yeah lack of money is a Big blow :( But It will be paid off soon. But I think of losing the money in a positive light at the same time, It has led me to stop betting, stop clubbing and other changes in my life that I wanted to make. It really made me evaluate and look at my life and think through the changes that I need to make. The changes are in progress. It has done me more good, than bad. It is also teaching me to be patient to buy the things I want. Thanks Mikey :)

Concentrating on a book and listening to your favourite band never works! But at least you tried, haha.

Yeah, I'm glad it puts some other things into perspective for you, even if you did have to learn the hard way. You sound very mature about your situation and for that alone you will get through this. :)

Haha yeah I thought It was worth a try lol ;) I thought hey this sounds exciting, I might enjoy reading the book lol. I tried this because I can read articles online and listen to my fav music at the same time. But when it comes to books in paper form I just need a higher level of concentration so music doesn't really help lol. Especially when their's words or topics that you don't fully understand lol.

Thanks for your kind words Mikey, I just like to see the positive in everything. Its better being hopeful, than hopeless. Positivity FTW :)

Noticing that my room at home is smaller than my dorm room. But my dorm room isn't cold and dark though, so definite upgrade staying here for break.

Okay everyone. I am back from the night I had in Sydney with my gig and the nightclub.

The gig went well. There was a song we played half-way through the set list that practically exhausted me completely. I had to do a massive fill at the end and I had nothing left. It was crazy but overall I think I played alright. A few mistakes here or there but I got nothing but praise from people who watched us.

I will admit that I was super nervous to the point of shaking just before we played! I wanted to try and channel that nervous energy to my playing, which kind of worked. :)

After the gig, me and a couple of friends went to a nightclub in the heart of Sydney. There was a massive line and it cost $25 to get in. There was a stage at the front of the dance floor where only girls were allowed on it, so I planted myself right next to that. It was pretty good. A couple of drunk girls on that stage came up to me, but I'm simply too anxious/unassertive that I didn't really do as much as I could've.

I found out that I'm fine in a nightclub environment if everyone leaves me to do my thing. Once girls come over and show an interest I get anxious and I try to find an avenue out.

Also male behaviour at a nightclub never ceases to amaze me (I am a male, so I'm not immune, either). :)

All in all, I had a good time at the gig and the nightclub. A bit tired now but I'll survive!

great news Mikey , i'm glad it went well , sounds like you had fun !
Anxious fun, but fun nonetheless! It was more of a success than the last time I went out in Sydney, for sure.

Pictures and possible video might turn up from the gig soon.

Congratulations Mikey! Also, I told you that you didn't have to do anything for the ladies to approach you;)! You're so cool that the Ice Age is jealous of you! Now all we have to do is get you to talk to them!

Hahaha, thanks Deadman. It's hard to strike up a conversation in a noisy nightclub.

As me and my friend were getting our ID's checked by the bouncer, some old lady went through (she was already stamped) and she looked at me and said, "oh, I liiiike you." Then she grabbed my hand and said, "can we dance later?"

I was shocked speechless but I managed to let out, "uhh, maybe." The bouncer then said, "can you move along? I have to check ID's." She moved inside and he said to me, "dude, I saved you ass. You owe me big time." I certainly did. :D
