yeah they've got some really good songs...The lasting dose is good.

a lot of sludge metal bands have a certain kind of groove to their songs that i really like.


here's a band from the eastern part of the state in Wilmington, NC.



this guy's vocals sometimes make me laugh though because he sounds like such a redneck...but most of their riffs are really bad *** and have a nice groove to them.

^ great album...what kind of bass do you have?...

I can KIND of play the vomit riff from Hourglass (on guitar) but its a bit sloppy.

that reminds me I need to order their live album on amazon..I already have the dvd...if you haven't seen killidelphea you should watch it.

I don't know why, but seeing the popularity of this thread always makes me chuckle. Legitimately I don't know why. I occasionally listen to metal, so I don't have anything resembling disdain for it. Maybe it's picturing an SA metal band. Would the lead singer whisper scream? :giggle:

and yeah, an SA metal band would probably be something along the lines of Xasthur...

I have an Ibanez Gio. I'm thinking of upgrading soon to a different bass just not sure what I would choose haha. I would also like to upgrade my amplifier.

Implode by slayer is a pretty sick song. The intro is tr heaviest riff I've heard by that band. I'm also a megadeth fan. I just love thrash metal
