Man you guys live in such busy areas... no crowding claustrophobia?

I love the city. I love crowds, as well, which is weird, I know.
But it'd be great if I was just invisible and could walk through them w/o being noticed. At least that's how I used to feel before I started coming out of my shell more & more.
I work rather far from home in a very bland & uninteresting part of Vancouver's 'burbs, so when I get off the skytrain after and head down those steps into the mad chaos of ambulance/police sirens, horns, construction, drug dealers, lost tourists, and the generally unending assortment of human characters surrounding me, I just smile & think, "aahhhh - home....".

Yes I'm crazy.

that's one of the things I miss most about chicago

the best part about living in the city was feeling totally anonymous

the more people there are, the less you stand out

now I live in a town of 800 people - it's hard to go unnoticed
