Hmmm love... i don't know if that would solve anything...

Any other healthy relationship however seems to do the job. You can't get any more self-worth and satisfaction than caring about someone and having someone care about you!

I've only ever been in one, but it's well worth seeking out and trying to maintain. Maybe online dating... (never tried it myself though, doesn't seem like such a bad idea though if you look past all the stigma)

Im 21 and I've been in 2 relationships, both of which were very fulfilling in satisfying, though each were limited in certain ways so neither got to the point of love I would say. But yes, it made me less shy around more people and more confident in who I was, because I knew that even if I made a complete dumbass of myself, it wouldn't matter that much because I knew she cared about me (sometimes I did, but they always found it cute). Put short, it made me care less about what others thought because I knew I had the approval of someone I cared about (except when she was pissed, having ur gf pissed at you BLOWS, they make it so hard). But anyway, back to the point, yes it did help with my anxiety and it made me more confident around people. Some of the funnest times ever, I'll tell ya that.
not much i can tell ya doesit except keep at it....some girls might find your blushing cute if you come up wit somethin to say to her.

To tell the truth from time to time i meet girls that are intrested in me :) and i can be flirty aswell but the thing is im afrraid to cross the line where you need to call her on the date,or ask a girl out to do stuff.Because i just dont want to make a fool of myself :/ so i stick only to fool around and before it gets serious i just chicken out :D its like keeping a hand on a fire and pulling it of before you get burned.Anyway hopefully ill find a girl who ill be able to explain how i feel and be comfortable around :)

yeah I've ahd like 1 real girlfriend and that didn't last long at all becuase I was unsure of myself....in high school though some internet stalker girl at my school found my number and constantly called me everyday and at first I would hang up but then it was kinda cool but weird....she knew who I was but who was that mystery lady I talked to everyday for a month? who knows....I hoped she was really cute, her voice was but she didn't want me to see her at school, maybe she had SA but it was kinda weird someone who knows who you are and calls you everyday but you don't know who she is.....it was kinda cool actually, now I got nothing but like doesit said, every few times I go out and meet a girl who likes me and I flirt around but I get sick when I think about actually calling her up even though she gave me a pass.

My other half was shy when we first got together. Still is, as it happens. But he's said before on a few occasions that he's glad we got together and stayed together. The confidence boost of having me around, of me offering him support helped.

While a relationship may not solve the problem of shyness, I think a stable relationship can do it some substantial good.

yeah blushing is cute and nice but not when all ur face is covered in red and you look like becoming hulk except ure all red
i always find its easier to do social things with someone beside you and sometimes you forget that there is anything wrong with you ;)

My boyfriend is the shyest person I know. Even more shy than me because I can at least be audible. He speaks very low and no one can hear him. He had a really hard time connecting with people and didn't get his first kiss until he was 28. So it may take a while. I met him about 4 years ago online through a friend. We chatted a lot and I got to know him really well that way. We both can be ourselves online better than in person. But we were just friends and then he became my best friend over the years. Then just 1 1/2 years ago there was a spark between us and we ended up in a relationship and now we live together. So sometimes it just has to be slow like that and it helps to be good friends first. I hope you end up finding someone for you but being shy is not a reason to not find someone. Women like all kinds of guys.

Your story gave me a lot of hope. It's so amazing that you found each other!
