Although she eventually got me with her elbow. Her youth finally overcame my three hours of sleep. But you don't need to see that one, do you? Probably not....

I mentioned that Mom's wheel fell off yesterday. So this is where she ended up when she tried to shift from the left lane to the center one....
Kiddies, that's what happens when you don't tighten down the nut and insert the cotter pin like you're supposed to.
And while my dad, my brother, and I aren't professionals, we've never had a wheel disconnect like that....

wow, she is lucky not to have been seriously hurt/slammed into by another car! You, your brother & dad should buy her a huge box of chocolates to help calm her nerves!!
Yes, she is lucky. And the chocolates idea sounds great except for one small detail: she works in a candy store where the main product is all sorts of fine chocolates.
So the poor woman has to look at fine chocolates all day. And she can eat whatever she wants, but when you deal with them all the time....
Actually, I'm just waiting for my parents to go away in August. The bathtub needs to be recaulked, I'd like to scrape the wallpaper off in their bedroom and get the walls ready to be painted, and we've needed a new medicine cabinet and light fixture in the bathroom since we moved here over 20 years ago. And since the bathroom circuit is still that knob and tube wiring, it wouldn't hurt to update that by going through my sister's old room (which also needs to be redone).
So when they go away I want to make my life Hell for a week and a half. When they're around it's rather hard to make things an absolute mess for the sake of making things better. But then maybe I'll get some chocolates.
