Nope I love those. I too had a thing for 90's europop. You left out Ace Of Base though!
Let's see who else was there.. Corona. Real McCoy. Fun Factory.
Can't think of the others, I was really picky back then and only liked certain songs (well I still am), but yeah that was the good stuff. That's actually my music roots right there. Europop/dance. I didn't get into rock until Offspring and Nirvana, and then harder into Korn, Pantera, Type O and Meshuggah. I used to not like Tool because it didn't catch my ear. I was spoiled with all these pop riffs. But after a few listens it became one of my favorite bands. Blues and 70's rock came after that, and then also getting into more prog.
Like I said I'm still picky with songs I like though. There's very few bands that I can say I like every one of their songs. That's why it's cool that we have the same tastes. Even specific songs.
I even did a report once in 7th grade on the song all that she wants is another baby from ace of base. We had to read the lyrics in class for something. I didn't realize at the time that would make me a complete dork. I mean I already had no friends, even the teacher thought "ok, this kids a dork" lol.
You can bet though that if I hear that song playing in the store, I'll be singing along to it. And if I hear What Is Love I'll be movin my head.
It was actually funny that that song became famous from the skit in SNL. I remember thinking every time it came on, "alright! They're playing my favorite song!"
