ughhh.....ever feel like sh!t run over twice? even knowing that whatever your doing is going to cause you to feel that way later??

I used to be addicted to mcdonalds back in the day, when i was in highschool, and i DO mean addicted. for me, it was nothing to eat 2 big macs 3 days a week and not gain a pound, i was one of those skinny kids that just seems to have hollow legs or somthing, i could never gain any weight and was usually around 110 lbs at 5'7.

so anyway, i eventually stopped going there because i felt that was probably starting to get unhealthy....ok ok IT WAS unhealthy, and ive actually gotten alot better on the diet wagon in terms of nutrition.

Well, tonight was the first time in almost 6 yrs ive gone to mcraunchies....at my hunnys insistence, she wanted a mc-chicken, so alrighty. I had a rought day, i was ravenous, and i may have....*cough* eaten 2 big macs, large fries, a 10 piece nugget pack and an apple pie.

Obviously now im paying for it.

Im lying on my couch drinking digestion tea and generally feeling icky.

Im SO glad i dont eat there much at all anymore!!!!!

Anyone else have a similar story?

Mickey D's just isn't as good as it used to be - especially after watching Supersize Me!

I've become a lot pickier about eating - I want stuff that's fresh-made. Eating something out of a can grosses me out!

^ I had to watch Supersize Me in my Biology class a couple years ago. I really liked it, but it definitely grossed me out. McDonald's still grossed me out then too, but the movie made up for it. ::p:

I definitely prefer all-natural and organic foods as well. I will eat some stuff out of a can, but not those premade meals or anything. It's usually just some vegetables or pure tomato sauces (no preservatives) or fruit.

I completely stopped eating there when i saw supersize me like 6 years ago. I wasn't addicted like you, personally I didn't really care that much for it in the first place. However I have been there twice since I stopped and both times I found myself running for the washroom the rest of the day feeling so sick. The last time I went was because I was sleeping in a train station in Hamburg one night and I was starving in the middle of the night and had two choices, mcdicks or burger king. so i decided burger king for sure but it was closed and the mcdicks was 24hours and man, since that night I swear I will rather starve to death than go back there

Yea, I don't mind tomato sauce or jam, but things I once liked to eat such as canned Spaghettios just gross me out these days!

I have a love-hate relationship with chocolate. Not as big as your addiction to McDonald's but getting there, surely. You certainly was addicted but it's good you got over it. :)

Mcdonald's isn't *that* bad for you. Supersize me was over the top. That movie drives me insane. Sure, eat 5,000 calories a day of something and you're going to be fat and unhealthy in a month *rolls eyes*

There's another movie, FatHead. Dude eats Mcdonald's every day and loses weight. Not only does he lose weight by a lot of his vital/medical tests improve.

Now that's out of the way. I have definitely done my share of overindulging. I pretty much do it every time I eat cookies or chocolate. Then I always end up regretting it. But while I am eating it, it always seems like such a fantastic idea.

Although I wouldn't really call eating at Mcdonald's three times a week an addiction. I am addicted to sugar and chocolate, it's a really big accomplishment when I go a day without eating chocolate. *runs away embarrassed*

I use to be able to eat it in high school...I gradually gained weight. But I used to HOOVER it in my first years of college and gained over like 50 lbs and also discovered I had hypothyroidism... Just my luck.

So, now, it's like a battle trying to stop eating it. I don't even want it b/c the thought of it disgusts me. But sometimes, I still crave it...

I remember when I ate it regularly how disgusting it made me feel. Now, I'm trying to eat more things from home. I am currently addicted to using leafy greens in a soup and having that for a meal a few times out the week.

It's like learning how to use a kitchen full time and not turning to fast food for a fast meal when I don't want to be inconvenienced by cooking. My last leafy green soup took HOURS. But it's better than spending tons a week on fast food. That stuff adds up- and clogs up- over time.

Small steps towards a healthier life...

I had a fry which was a part of my parents' weekly meal of fried fish and other fried things. I couldn't even eat the whole thing after biting the one... I don't like fried food much.

I read an article about how a lady let a McDonald's burger sit out and it never...changed or deteriorated. That should scare anyone. I'm trying to stop my sister in law from feeding my niece that crap.

As in 160 grams of chocolate in one sitting! Not proud of myself but it was delicious!
Ok, so:

160 g = 5.64383 oz = approx 2

And I thought I was bad! ;)

I used to be addicted to mcdonalds as well, especially in the summer time when its hot as s**t and nobody in the house could be bothered to cook. It was literally atleast 3 times a week and it was pure heaven.

I started to get chest pains so I stopped and havent had it in a while until a few days ago. One bite of that double quarter pounder and I thought i was going to vomit it was so disgusting.I cant even look at mcdonalds,or any other fast food for that matter, anymore.

My go to treat that I know is terrible for me is coffee icecream by Haagen Dazs. Love it... Totally bad for me... So I try to only have it like once a month.

I'm glad I came back to this site... This discussion made me want to stick to my weight loss plan.
