ok, Pet Peeves

I was on call last night, and had a network emergency come up. I was woekn up by my emergency work phone (my batphone as i call it) at 3 am.

Im good for it, im only on call one week a month, but it annoys me when theperson on the other end goes "Hi! im sorry to bother you but....."

ok, dude, dont apologize.......to me thats like saying "sorry im about to rob your house buuuuuut". I dont mind helping you out, its my job...just stop saying that!~

oi.

Hey! It's interesting that this bothers you. I think I am the opposite. When I am calling someone for a favor, and even though it's their job, I feel like I am asking them to go above and beyond. So sometimes I will start out with "hey im sorry to bug you...." , or "sorry i don't mean to bother you but..."

I think it is because sometimes I genuinely feel like I am bothering people. I dont say it all the time, but I have done it on occasion. At the same time, when someone calls me after hours for work, or if a friend calls for a favor and says "sorry for bothering.." I sometimes appreciate it, and am more eager to help them lol.

As far as pet peeves, I guess I just really HATE when you see someone and they make plans with you, and then flake out with no call/text or explanation. I'm cool with plans cancelling, but just let me know! ya feel me?

I have zero tolerance for flakers! Major pet peeve of mine. Thank you for mentioning it. 'Cause even with my SA, if I say I will do something, I do it, and put forth a lot of effort to do so. So it pisses me off when people are so easy to cancel plans, makes me feel like I am not worth the effort- though I do understand it is them and not me, but still.

My pet peeve: SUVs

!eep!

I'm a perennial flaker, especially when I'm depressed. I get increasingly anxious as the time draws near, until I cross some threshold and bail.

I try very hard to let people know, but that means fabricating an excuse because I'm too ashamed to tell them the real reason, and I hate lying so much sometimes I won't be able to summon the courage to do that either.

Pathetic, I know.

That is an interesting pet peeve, they probably don't want to call you and have to bother you... they were maybe hoping to avoid it? So they are apologizing it had to come to calling you for help. I think it's a genuine apologize/feeling bad about it.

Listening to people eat is one of my major pet peeves. Crunch, slurp, smack, gulp...ugh! I want to leave the room when that's happening.

Also, rude/disrespectful people, especially for no real reason. Like my neighbours who yell all the time with no thought of me or whoever else they appear to be annoying. That's one example of many but I really dislike it.

Biggest pet peeve has to be when somebody (preferably a co-worker/boss) Asks you to do something for them when you are already busy and they are just sitting around doing nothing. I just wanna yell DO IT YOUR DAMN SELF I'M BUSY.

It bugs me when I am on the phone and people are talking to me. I cant hear what the person on the phone is saying and I have to say "pardon could you say that again?" -that usually happens when its an important call.

I also dislike people who think they have a sense of entitlement for everything, and are oh so shocked and in utter disbelief when things dont go their way.

General douche baggery and rudeness is not something that I can appreciate.

Over the top optimism bugs me too.

...oh and celebrities in the news... I dont care if they have broken up, getting married or are going to prison...whoop de whoop...

Awww Aletheia!! *hug*

I was referring to people who flake and ditch others to hang out with someone else. My wife actually has the exact same problem as you. And to me, that isnt flaking. thats somthing else entirely.

Sorry!!

Yeah, I agree 100% on this. "Lindsay Lohan was busted with drugs!" "Gwyneth Paltrow put on 5 pounds!" "Bill Paxton talks about love, life, and Twister!" Holy crap, I don't care.

I can completely agree with this. Sometimes chewing gum has the same effect, it's like CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP. Shhhh! ::p:

I was friends with this guy who was the loudest eater EVER. It was like ... barbaric. He would chew with his mouth open, shovel it in, talk, and breath in while chewing and stuff. It was gross haha.

I know it's really a buzzkillington thing to hate, but I really hate with people hum or whistle in public while they are shopping or standing in line or something. Also when you can hear the person's music coming out of their earphones. I mean, isn't it super loud? If I can hear it, it has got to be pretty loud. That reminds me too... I hate when you can hear music in another room/house/apartment or whatever and you can just hear enough of it that you hear it, but not enough to know what it is. That drives me crazy.

I better stop before I write out 10 pages ::p:
