I Hate the Human Race

I use to think I suffered from being some what shy around other people but not anymore. It has to be deeper why I dislike public appearances. So recently, I began to pick up from watching the news, reading history books and interaction with others on the inhuman ways we as humans treat each one another. I really hate having to meet other people outside my immediate family. Sometimes I wish there was a way for me to work from home forever.

hmm. You could make your own web business? Have a daycare? Learn a studio art (like pottery) and teach/sell your wares? You could be a caterer? You could do a lot of things from home. Unfortunately you need to somewhat interact with people. Are small interactions a problem?

Mark Twain and Flannery O'Connor. Two people that make the flaws of the human race entertaining enough to be bearable!

I sometimes feel that way but I know not everyone is bad or annoying. Many people on here are quite nice and they're humans, aren't they? ;)

I dislike most of the people too and sorry to break to you but, it's not their fault, it's ours.

I was waiting for someone to point this out. I, for one, do not hate the human race. If the rest are culpable, then so am I. I may as well hate myself too. I used to be very hateful but I was very angry and misguided at the time. It was probably no coincidence that I was a teenager at the time.

I feel the same though I am not totally against violence and hurting others). I sympathise with Sylar from Heroes. I can relate to his character.

As a group sometimes people don't seem that great but as individuals with their own problems, feelings and characteristics I think there is a lot of good.

Actually I take back my last comment - I just this minute read in the newspaper that some burglars raped a woman who was 7 months pregnant - people are ****ed!

I'm not going to hate something I don't understand to its full extent... But I must admit I do feel a certain dislike toward this race in general. A lot of the time I wish that everyone would just go away, or cease to exist, so that I could be alone.
But there is nothing that makes us better than human. We are all human.
So... do you hate yourselves as well or...? Only others?
Hmm...

Ah I know what you mean. I share some of the same feelings of detachment as the character Dexter Morgan.

I dunno. They're not so bad. Today on the street a woman offered me a banana. She was on drugs mind you, but still. It was a nice gesture.

I got offered cake once, from a homeless man. Rather generous, but no thank you.

Yep! It's not as easy to be so hateful when one sees the individuals that make up the whole. For the most part, humans hate evil more than they love good.
