DID ANYONE ELSE CATCH THE BRITNEY: ON THE RECORD?

omggggggggg... i relate to her so much.. so much so i would want to meet her. i know this is going to get a lot of flack on this website.. but honestly if your a britney hater-- thats exactly what is wrong here. people need to quit judging her ad her life and let the sweet girl catch a break!!!

i feel like her, i am not even kidding.

in fact a few months ago i wrote on facebook "i wish all my friends and family lived in the same town, or a tropical island would be nice..;)"

and in her documentary she said how she would love for it to be her, her husband and kids, on a tropical island, where no one could get to them...
im like woooowwww we are kindred souls. seriously i relate to a lot of what she said.

and i have seen what she means also when she said shes "seen the cruelest part of the world... and also the most beautiful.. "


I think that, sure she has problems, but she is a good person deep down. I think the business has taken advantage of her as a person and turned her into one lust-producing sex object after the next. but i try to "love the sinner, hate the sin." I personally love her, AS A PERSON, and wish people would quit judging her.

I thought it was really funny but at the same time sad, she seems far to out of it, she even admitted she was sad and bored with the business. Just goes to show how people would abuse anyones wellfair for money.
Her dad was fantastic though, what a man!

she's a marketing tool for the media and music industry, no substance and all about the money, there is no doubt she has some talent but she is the opposite of art and creativity.

there are so many great musicians that deserve and write their own songs and music and deserve better while she has a bunch of expensive producers shaping and moulding the songs for her while she goes shopping ..

her objective is to be a sex object and thats why her albums sell, because people are suckers for that, ever listen to the lyrics? girls that want to be souless sex objects buy her albums, or because it was in the top 50 charts, people go "i have to buy this because its popular" ..."and..and i heard it on the radio..and i cant think for myself so..but everyone else likes it so i do to" ...

also the only reason people judge her is because the media keep reporting about every little move she makes, and most people don't even care, but certain people like gossiping about the most irrelevant celebrity activities its really sad, my family started talking about her recently as if they knew her and it made me realise that certain people are sheep and mirror what the media tells them, she is the last person on my mind ..

Remember that guy Jason Alan Alexander? Her first husband? I think her family eventually paid him about $500,000 to divorce her. After being married for about 2 days. That guy is a frickin genius.

If you can think of a better way to make half a million dollars than being Britney Spears's husband for 53 hours, I'd like to know what it is.

and until people stop buying her albums based on sex and what you say "isnt original" and ones she hasnt written, she will keep making them as long as they sell.


once again, not backing her decisions or what she is basing her career on. people need to stop judging her is my point , and let her live her life.

it just grates me that she can earn so much and be in the spotlight and my favourite bands get no recognition on radio and yet they write wonderful music and play the songs well live. ..

I actually agree with you. I can't stand her music and stuff but I feel very sorry for her and though I've never been in her shoes or even close, I feel I can relate if on a much smaller scale. She reminds me somewhat of Satine from Moulin Rouge. Someone who feels people will only love her for her looks and sex appeal rather than her as a person. And while people keep saying "Ya! Brit is back!!", I still think shes the same old Britney. Her new videos are just more sex laden videos and she still seems unhappy be hind all the makeup.

I wonder if she knew that song she did a looong time ago (Lucky??) would be about herself in a few years...

Anyway, ya I feel for her but I do not like her singing or her retarded fan base. But I hope she can shake it all clean up and just live a happy life somewhere...

I'm not a big Britney fan, but I don't hate her like some people. I do like some of her old songs: Toxic, Soda Pop, Sometimes, And the Beat Goes On, and Lucky to be more accurate.

I think her new stuff is pretty awful from what I have heard - Womanizer and something else.

I will admit, I liked her more when she went 'crazy' and started to let herself go. She became more real and it was entertaining. But, she still is just okay to me.

I've never gotten the fascination with Britney Spears. As an artist she is very questionably talented. I think of her as a smoke and mirrors singer who needs sky high production values to make her who she is. Strip any of it away and you have a lip-syncing nightmare.

As a person, especially after watching "For the Record", I find Spears to be nearly an empty shell of a person, desperately trying to fill herself up after years of superficial celebrity before she turns age 30. I don't think she knows who she wants to be after years of having people decide for her. She never seemed like the brightest bulb to me, and after watching her little documentary, (or promotional tool for her new album for those who wish to be honest), I still think she seems rather dim.

Britney wasn't bad at the beginning of her career, but in my eyes she is now junk and a bitch. I don't want to hear or read her name.

she isn't really an artist, she doesn't write her own songs, they tweak her voice in production to sound good, she is a total marketing tool. that is all true...

BUT! if you can get over that and appreciate her for what she is, it is all pretty interesting.

she is a great dancer! and a great performer (minus 2007 vma)! she totally knows how to work a crowd. that in itself is an art.

as for her music, some of it i like. i realize it is not her music, she is not the creative source of this music, it is barely even her voice, and it's produced by a million other people. "britney spears" isn't just britney herself. it is a whole team of people, a big collaboration. it's like watching a theatrical production. it's a guilty pleasure. once you can get over that and just appreciate it for what it is, the music is actually good stuff to work out to.
