I dislike pornography...

i kinda know from experience, as someone who had a boyfriend that used to watch porn alot, that porn- especially violent porn- can definately distort a persons view of how sex is supposed to be. i also later found out that when he was younger and had been watching porn for a few years that he had sexually abused 2 children from his family.

he enjoyed watching rape/ violence scenes and told me on occasions that he wanted to rape me or see me in a sexual situation that i had no control over. he admitted to me that he thought porn had alot to do with his view on sex.

I'm not saying that all pornography users end up like that, but it can happen.

By far most young males watch porn. It's strange if they don't. Men wants to see women bodies. Now with internet we can do it for free whenever we want. We don't have to wait for a relationship and for the girls to get old enough to get willing to take of their cloths.

Very few males gets affected by porn so they start abusing stuff. It's something abnormal. Eveyone who watches porn thinks "wtf" when they hear about such things.

Many male sex fantasies involves rape. Porn is rather a response to that and not something that makes them like in in the first place. I myself used to fantasies about raping the pretty girls at school when I was between 10-12. (somehow it reduced with age) It's normal for men. About that time I don't know if I had even seen a sex scene in a movie. Might not even known what the word "porn" really ment.

To say that pornography is degrading to women is just ridiculous. I've never understood that argument. They CHOOSE to do it. And they're getting paid. How is that degrading? I'm sure they make a lot more money than any of us here. That's gotta count for something.

As a woman, I'm a proud watcher of pornography. And I have been since I was about 14 years old. Give me a few more years, and maybe I'll turn into a child molester because of it. *Roll.*

What she said!

Pardon me if I've repeated something someone has already said. I'm not going through to read 15 pages! I have read a few pages and this thread has made me giggle more than once. ::p:

I should start out with saying that I'm an 18 year old female who watches porn. And I have been watching it for some time...I would never admit that to anyone outside of the internet world...I don't think most girls would. With that said, I think a lot more females watch porn than everyone thinks. But, it's taboo a fact to admit. Anyway, I guess that's not even what this thread is about.

Basically you think porn taints otherwise innocent people? Particularly children who watch it while they're young...right? I think that is a bit ridiculous. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that the majority of people watch your form of 'porn,' which is not only sexual porn...but 'violent' porn that doesn't include sex at all...just violence. I mean, it's everywhere. Even on the news! We all see violent and sexual acts from a young age. Could be in movies, newspaper, news, tv shows, porn...etc. Everyone sees it everyday at every age. If your theory's correct, wouldn't that mean that at some point everyone is going to grow up to be excessively violent or promiscuous or even both? If so, why hasn't that happened already? People would have destroyed themselves a long time ago.

And, don't you think that getting rid of porn would create a lot of sexually frusterated people? Not everyone has the luxury of having a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, significant other...you get the picture. Not everyone has that person there to 'love.' Porn is just a way to release tension for these people and other people who don't have sex! Without it, I think there would be a lot more rapes and sexual abuse and promiscuity by people who need to release that tension.

That's just my opinion. :)

I agree.

Porn definitely relieves tension, and dulls some of the misery that comes from not being able to have an intimate relationship with another person. Given the choice between watching porn and releasing that frustration or trying to pass myself off as an asexual being, then I'd gladly choose porn (and maintaining a semblance of my sanity, as a result).

Porn was interesting when growing up I suppose I don't have any problems with it, but to be honest watching porn is not as fun as having sex with a partner.
I don't have any hangups with sex or porn or find any problems with it, but then sexuality and gender is always in our face everyday, from advertising tv games walking down the street, to what people wear etc. where it crosses between fantasy and reality you can get problems.

pornfail is so much funnier then normal porn, there is a website dedicated to it somewhere on the web, when porn shoots go wrong/bloopers

Sorry, I hate to disagree with anyone.... But I must put my foot down. The female anatomy is downright gorgeous in my eyes, and very exciting to see even at my old age of 41... I have seen porn, and I don't think it is bad. These people get paid allot of money to do it, and yeah it contributes to their drug addictions, but whats the difference if they work for McDonalds and spend all their money on drugs too... I have heard that argument before, and I think it is ridiculous to think that it is just pornography that contributes to drug use...Any job could contribute to drug use... that is my point.

Being an inexperienced virginal guy, if it wasn't for porn or strip clubs (I have only been to a strip club 3 times in my life) I wouldn't have ever seen what sex looks like or even a live nude female. And I must say, the female anatomy is a genuine work of art, and one that I will probably worship till the day I die... There...enough said.

Just a question No1, are you a woman? :)

....Because of porn, indecency, or having indecent thoughts is seen as "ok" as long as it's done in private...people might still be subservient to think "oh it's just human nature to be wanton and violently lustful".

Good. Indecency rocks and squaredome blows cock. It is human nature to be wanton and violently lustfull. Thanks to religion and modern-day pseudo-science, however, our natural humanity has been perverted, warped, and repressed. Don't think that just because sexuality has become more public, available, and commercialized, that most people are totally comfortable with it - they aren't. The "perversions" you lamblast in pornography are in fact the direct result of the sex-shame culture that you promote.

Pornography shows rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault, etc. as all being ok. And people LIKE this stuff.

Yea, I LIKE IT, how about that? :D

Not saying there shouldn't be erotica, but Pornography is something totally different. Pornography is violent lust, inhumane. Degrading, etc. Pornography is sick, it is Twisted. THE definition of Porn = twistedness, including non-sexual pornographies of any kind. It is deviant.

What is erotica except watered-down porn for sexphobes who can't even view each other naked without having a panic attack (no offense to any of our panic sufferers here)? Pornography is hardly degrading or twisted in its nature, unless you feel that human sexuality is degrading and twisted - which you certainly do. If you dislike the dominating, aggressive, and disrespectful themes in much pornography, then you should BLAME YOURSELF - these are sexualizations of anxiety brought about by the demonization of sex - a disease you certainly suffer from and are working to propogate.

And seeing people get into this, believing in it, and especially believing that, sex IS pornography, is absurd.

Why? Should we all have sex through a hole in the sheet like you fantasize about?

Movies like the SAW movies, I also consider pornographic. Violent pornography. It is sickening to watch people ENJOY watching these kinds of movies to fulfill their so called , or believed "lust" for watching torture, blood and gore.

SAW isn't pornography, are you kidding me (have you even seen a typical snuff film (with actors, of course))? There's nothing wrong with enjoying watching cruely, savagery, and gorey violence. It's natural, and it's very human. Did you know that baboons have been videotaped doing the same thing in the wild? So do cats. It's a feature of intelligent beings. But, if you can't hack it, perhaps you would be better of joining another species? ::eek::

i think its natural for boys of 14 to want to look at naked women i know i did and the kids i went to school with then passed around porno magazines if people dont like it dont watch it same if a violent film provokes a killer or a porno a rapist it means they are bad people not because the film made them we would have to censor everything who knows at least these films could provide a sexual release for them and prevent a rape

I dislike the effect pornography has on human beings.

Son, the only effect porn has on people is giving them orgasms. Society determines what our pornography will show us, not the other way around.

In pornography, fantasies are played out where otherwise in the real world it should be illegal. But as a child who grows up exposed to this kind of stuff at a very early age, might want to emulate these behaviors, and carry it out into the adult world. From then on, sexuality is seen as a wanton, and violently lustful thing.

Pornography is all about fantasy and there should be no taboo against human fantasies, no how horrible or bizaar. Children don't emulate the behaviors they see in porn, there's not one study (out of the many done) that demonstrates a harmfull effect of porn. The truth is, you're deeply uncomfortable with sexuality your own and pornography therefore disturbs you.

Even on TV, sexuality is portrayed wantonly. As children, we watch TV, and "adult" content (as if that is what adult content is really even supposed to be like). I believe being exposed to sexuality pre-puberty can mess a person's life up once you do hit puberty.

But apparently you were messed up allready by the abuse you suffered. I deeply regrett you suffered such a terrible crime, but you can't go around blaming porn and "wantoness" for it.

Who knows what happens in middle school and elementary. Guys touching girls, without consent. And it "just happens" without any control. Because it "feels good" and we have urges that we can't even control.

Girls like it, and if they didn't guys would not do it anymore. Ive seen this for myself, do I don't find your complaints relevant to the real-world. Are you afraid of acting on your urges and harming someone? It sounds that way.

I remember, because I was exposed to pornography, and sexual abuse (as a result of the abuser being influenced by pornography) at such a young age.. in middle school, I could not control myself, and was severely uncomfortable with sexuality,or it was non existent until it took control of me.

What makes you think "pornography" had anything to do with it? What do you mean you could not control yourself? This isn't typical behavior of other kids who watch porn.

...I wonder if maybe I was supposed to, like all the other kids who were acting out their lustful desires because they saw it in pornography and wanted to 'try it out'.

Maybe you WERE supposed to. The sexphobes will have you believe that sexual experience is dirty or naughty, except when meeting the proper criteria (which happen not to be any fun!). Don't believe them.

But instead I was introduced to it by a male, though I quickly learned it wasn't supposed to be like that, and stopped it right away. But as a child I questioned sexuality...Because of all the wanton lustfulness going on, everywhere I went, I was uncomfortable with sexuality.

Again I am sorry to hear about this experience you had. It was not the kids who were bothering you, it was your own insecurity. You are projecting your internal problem onto the outside world.

Now about the porn thing: Rape, and Sex Crimes are "ok" in pornography. You see guys being wanton with women, touching them without consent, using sexual bribery, "tricking" girls into sex, and the girls are 'dumb enough" to accept, and be ok with it. Anything goes.

Rape, violence, murder, peeing, pissing, shitting, you name it. What's your point? :)

So when that behavior comes into reality... I am a modest person. I can't just start touching a woman without first her consent. but in porn, many of the movies show, that's how it starts. If people expect me to act like they do in porn to have sex... then I don't think I'll ever find love.

Do you know anything about the statistical relationship between pornography and sex crimes, or are you just repeating feminazi propoganda? Also, it seems you are insecure about initiating sexual contact, which is understandable. Perhaps you should talk to your therapist about this issue and try to work it out.

Why can't there be real erotica, showing two people who loved each other. Why does it have to be wanton, and crazy.

There is, it's called pornography for women, because that's the sort of shit chics want to see, not men. ;)

The sad thing is, people actually believe pornography is closer to the reality of love than anything else. but what if that's not true, and it's only the reality because of pornography, and people who from a sick mind, act out pornographic behaviors, even since the beginning of mankind, before pornography. not everyone was as violently lustful as this.

Well I can tell you from my own experience that porn is pretty close to real-life sex in some ways, and very different in others. Ive done most of the stuff in porn, one night stands, had a girl dance naked, taken nude pictures, ****ed a "teen" (hehe you know what I mean), had sex with lots of girls, had sex in public, had a threesome, had a sex party, etc. So, you were saying? :D

This tired argument promoted by feminazis and sexphobes is a dead-horse. Japan has the most violent pornography on the face of the earth, and yet the rape rate and sex-murder rate is minuscle compared to western countries. Everyone knows that, and everyone ignores it because it doesn't confirm the religious-pseudo-scientific demogogery.

I will tell you, most people with violent, criminal, and murder fantasies, never hurt anyone, have no impluses or desires to hurt anyone, and probably aren't even capable of doing it, because they aren't sociopaths. Serial killers and rapists all have severe personality disorders and most killers are psychotic.
