I asked a lady out

I am 23 years old and for the first time ever I managed to asked someone out.

She started volunteering at the shop that I work in. We spent a lot of time chatting and spent our lunch together. The next time we would both be in together would have been a week away and in between that time she had an interview. Normally I would have waited a bit longer before asking but I was worried that if she passed her interview she may not return to the shop so I threw caution to the wind and asked her. It is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do.

Unfortunately, I got rejected, but I am over the moon that I managed to ask her, and she was very polite about it and we remained friendly and chatty afterwards.

Awesome job! It gets easier and never give up. You did it right though...try to get to know someone and build a little trust first.
