Who else wants to barnstorm Bethesda with a letter writing campaign DEMANDING more variety in junk fence parts? :D

Ah, so much fun. This game is seriously a Godsend right now; even though insomnia is wreaking havoc on my mood and also starting to effect my concentration.

Fallout 4 is awesome. It's great having better graphics, I'm really happy with the location (one reason why I liked F3 more than NV, the desert was kinda boring, much prefer cities, towns, suburbs, etc). There are a lot of new things added in that make it cool.

The wasteland feels more alive at times when you're in locations with a lot of enemies--there can be multiple battles going on at once between raiders, settlers, and super mutants. There can be plenty of explosions.

This is probably the only game I will be playing for awhile. I put 160+ hours into F3. I can see myself doing the same with F4.

Oh, nevermind then. xD

While doing a quest, I got attack by a Yao Guai. Then I got attacked by a swarm of giant bees. THEN I got attacked a by raiders. Geeze.

Yeah, they really come at you in FO4. I was sneaking down a ravine and got caught between two super mutants and a Mr. Gutsy on my second quest, and it was the very first time I'd encountered EITHER of those two enemies in this game. Needless to say, I got chewed-up pretty bad. The Mr. Gutsy actually blew us all to Hell.

Also, the ghouls in this one really creep me out. They actually look like desiccated corpses instead of the plastic, B-movie zombies from FO3. I absolutely despise getting touched by them and they've made me jump on more than one occasion.

I couldn't agree with this more. Mods should be utilized to fix, enhance or overhaul something that is nearly perfect in its own right, not make it playable. But with Bethesda games it almost a requirement to know the console commands and troubleshoot at least a few times during a playthrough.

I don't want to be overly negative here as that would not be a **** move towards the people that have been eagerly awaiting Fallout 4, but Bethesda has shown a consistent level of technical incompetence that I don't think should be in games of their stature.

I've had to make a few tweaks in the .ini files to fix the weird mouse sensitivity and limited field of view. I found those two things to be the most jarring. I've also found that godrays and shadow distance cause really unreasonable performance hitches, so I've had to turn those down too so I don't get terrible framerate drops. Besides that, I'm enjoying the game.

One second they're walking towards you slowly, then all of a sudden they rush at you at a gazillion miles an hour. Embarrassingly enough, the enemy I hate the most right now are mole rats. Not yao guai, not deathclaws, but mole rats. I swear they just keep popping out of nowhere and scare the shit out of me.

Haven't played it, but I've watched most of a Let's Play of it. It's still ongoing. The game has an exceptionally fun grasp on characters and story.
Yeah! All of the characters have tons of charm and even though its a pixel rpg, you can choose not to kill anyone. Which is nice.

Mole rats have definitely been working out.

I actually used to feel guilty for killing mole rats... not any more. :D You're right about the burrowing, there's nothing worse than hearing the ground explode behind you and realizing you're about to become a giant chew stick.

ALSO, I had a rad scorpion pop-up right beside me for the first time while I was being attacked by a labor* of mole rats. They started fighting my dog and I can only assume each other, I can't say for sure because I was a mile away before my stamina gave out.

* - A group of moles is called a labor, I looked it up; so now we all know.

Man, everything time I reach it, I remember why I LOATH the Goron race in Majora's Mask.

To make it worse, if you have the audacity to fail it enough times to win it on the last day, it's useless anyway because smiths refuse to take your sword. And going back in time removes the item you need for the upgrade. It's probably the only thing in that game I consider deeply flawed.

Inadvertently deleted over 104 hours of gameplay....thank goodness for the cloud saves. I thought I was gonna die for a second there.

Oh that brings back memories of playing hours of Pokemon only to have the batteries fall out or the red light to finally go out on the GBA. You turn it back on and see your level 43 Pigeot is now a level 21 Pigeotto and just try to hold back the tears. And when you realize Garados is now a level 5 Magicarp again, you begin to question what horrible thing you must have done in life to deserve such a terrible fate.

Did you play the Red or Blue originals? Those cartridges deleted their save games after a hundred-and-fifty hours.

I remember hearing that when I was a kid and thinking it was nonsense - until it actually deleted my game.

I didn't, I started with Silver. Eventually the internal battery did die, which runs the save feature (and I think the time feature), it was a very sad day ::(: I played probably 1000 hours before that happened though, so it was well used at least ::p:

I'm glad I'm relatively new to gaming. I dunno it I could have handled that o_O That's why I can barely take those Dark Souls games. I hate having spent time making progress only to have it wiped clean because of one mistake.
