I do. I know it's basic manners but I just feel so uncomfortable saying it. I have no problem with "thank you" and "sorry" but "please" just feels weird.
Like today I was at the store and I had to ask for something people the counter, saying please was like pulling teeth.
For me it's not so much the "please", but just asking... I kinda feel like I'm being a burden. Oh, and saying "excuse me" for people to move out my way..

mg: I guess it all comes down to a lack of self-confidence, for. Don't if it's the same for you, Sally?
Me being 6ft tall and having tattoos, I think many people are surprised that I show manners. I also think it makes me a little more approachable. But the main reason I do it is because it costs nothing, makes me feel better as a person and may also make that other persons day a little better too
I can kinda relate, Pug in terms of the whole showing manners and the intimating physical appearance. Though, for me, it's more a case of a well-built, hairy, brown fella with a beard and funny accent.
