No. I may, may learn to cope with it slightly better one day, but my Asperger's? That will 100% never go away.

Never completly, but I hope it doesn't get worse. If a new super-pill comes out and I could take that to make it go away I would.

Very unlikely, along with my other issues. I'm a pretty weak person and have dealt with these problems for most of my life. If I could overcome them, I think it would have happened by now.

I don't think it is something that can free yourself from, it's more about how you deal with it as being a part of your life.

I wish there was a bloody cure!

free? as in cured? no I don't think that's possible. its not that black and white. I think being anxious in social situations is normal from time to time. I think even the most confident and outgoing people have experienced some discomfort and anxiety in a social situations from time to time.
its more like a spectrum of severity. it really is only an issue when it has an adverse negative effect on the quality of life you want for yourself.

sorry rambling... in short, I believe you cannot be completely free from SA. however, I also believe it CAN be overcomed to the point you can live a happy healthy life, providing one has the will power and support to better themselves for themselves.
so I'll answer as a yes in this context.

No. Never. By the time you realize you have SA your in too deep to get out. I do want to be optimistic that you can over come anything if you work hard enough. But in my down days i just cant see a way out SA makes you down in your own self worthlessness and i dont think those kinds of scars ever heal xx

I know how you feel :), but I think realising/accepting you have SA is a step in the right direction. For years, I couldn't figure out why I was feeling and behaving the way I was, had no one to talk to about it, and thought it was just me.

Realising that I have SA and finding discussion boards like this one has helped me understand what exactly SA is, and how other people are suffering with the same problems I face.

I don't think I will completely. I think that it'll always be something that holds me down a bit, but the extent to which it holds me down fluctuates
