Yup, I had them in middle school for about a year and a half. Man did they hurt...I hated them.

yes I did, I had the fixed one some 10 years ago and I still use sometimes the mobile one, just at night... i renewed it 3-4 years ago, I don't really need it but it makes me feel better with my mouth then, even if honestly i think it is no more useful at all (ie it doesn't move anything, if not extremely slightly).
I well remember the pains related to the fixed one, don't you? and when the dentist put it off, pulling off and snapping every little plaque? gosh, if it has been painful. It felt just like if he'd being pulling off my teeth arrgh

I had them too, actually I still got some wires inside for the coming .. i dno, 7 years ? They should keep my front teeth together so they never grow wrong anymore. Which sometimes happens with just braces and nothing else after that.

Never needed them. According to the dentist, I have very nice teeth.

Same here and I'm very grateful for it. I was put off the dentist when they took an impression of my teeth for some study they were doing (no choice). That stuff that goes hard in your mouth was a horid sensation, especially when they pulled them off.

I have fixed braces in now. They're not that bad, except from when they cut my cheeks when they were altered 2 weeks ago, meaning I now have swollen cheeks that I keep biting. I've only had them in for 9 weeks tho, so it could get worse yet

No, never. My teeth aren't perfect by any means, but they've never needed to be straightened by braces. The only surgery I've ever had on my teeth is fillings and I got my teeth professionally whitened once at the airport for £100.

I had a retainer to wear at some point, luckily only at night the majority of the time.

I wore it on a rollercoaster once, and it fell out and nearly flew away from me lol

Gratefully, I've been blessed with naturally straight teeth. I went to the dentist for the first time in my life last summer (never went before then due to fear and my mother never forcing me). I only had four cavities that needed filling, and everything else was fine. He even took an x-ray of my in-coming wisdom teeth, and said none of them would need to be pulled because they were coming in correctly. I was very pleased! I can only imagine what it's like to have crooked teeth or messed up ones. I'm so thankful I never had to deal with that. I think it's the only thing I'm proud of on my body, and I didn't even earn it! Well, aside from taking care of them, of course. Blah blah blah...

Yeah I had braces. They helped a lot, but even with the retainer, my teeth slowly went back to their crooked positions.... that was a waste of three thousand bucks and a lot of hassle.

Luckily I have perfectly straight teeth, never had any cavaties, and I've gone to the dentist a total of one time in my life. The dentist was shocked that I had no dental health history yet such immaculate teeth. Also, I've whitened them to the point where it may blind some people lol. Yeah, I like my teeth. Probably the only thing I'm proud of :p

No, i never had braces surprisingly as everyone always thinks i have.
It was so unfair though because whenever i used to go to get my teeth or eyes checked i ALWAYS wanted braces or glasses and wasn't allowed them :(
