I seem to have lost mine.

Lots of people on this forum apparently have a complete book of rules that spells out exactly how everyone in the world is SUPPOSED to think, feel, and behave, and how exactly everything in life is SUPPOSED to happen

it is no wonder they are so upset, if things haven't turned out the way their rulebook tells them they're supposed to be, or when people don't act the way the rulebook says they should

i feel like I'm at a disadvantage sometimes - it's hard for me to give any sound advice when I don't know what the rules are

it's difficult for me to know why someone is so disappointed without being able to turn to that chapter in the rulebook to see how things were supposed to turn out for them or how the people that upset them were supposed to behave

so if anyone has a copy of the rulebook that you could lend me, that's be great

thanks for your help

Agreed, where is the master rule book? I want to see it!

Rulebook there is not, we know this. However, sound your point is made. At least to me.

I have one that I can lend you, but It's pretty messed up because for each situation, there is tons and tons of exceptions to read, and then sometimes it leads you to another chapter with more possibilities and more exceptions, and to this you have to add all the personal notes I took and post-it papers everywhere about all the OTHER exceptions and possibilities I noticed happen or should happen in real life, you know, so in the end, you just feel like burning it and immolating yourself with it.

But you were being sarcastic, right?

It's best not have one trust me

but then how would someone know if they're a worthy person?

how would they know whether they have enough friends?

or what career they're supposed to have?

or what they're supposed to eat?

or if they got the right job at the right time?

or if they're wearing the right clothes?

or if they have all the things they're supposed to have at the age they're supposed to have it?

or if they're good looking enough?

or if their parents treated them properly?

or how to smile?

I don't quite get it. Like, everyone and every situation is unique so there can't be 2 identical solutions to the same problem or what? Nothing in life is cut and dry? You mean people are assuming rules where there aren't any?

Btw. this is probably not quite related but I feel many people who are asking for help don't give out enough information about the problem, about themselves and their background, which in my opinion is always essential for the question to be answered correctly or at least nearly correctly. Vague question = inaccurate answer, and inaccurate answer is often as good as no answer at all.

I have a couple rules,it would be more like red flags with people who I will be interacting with,it avoids unwanted situations or situations that I know I cant take it,the others I just cant have any social interaction at all.

A lot of people have preposterous preconceived notions about how life is supposed to work, and these notions hurt them instead of helping them. Many people have no idea how many assumptions they are making.

is it true that you can't legally reside in the state of Texas unless you're wearing a cowboy hat?

No, that's a myth. You're allowed to live here without a cowboy hat, you're just not allowed to be seen in public.

The laws about the boots and the 6-shooter vary from county to county.

I get exactly what you're saying and i couldn't agree more...

This is one of the reasons why i rarely post here, you never know if someone will be offended by what you say for whatever reason. I will make an effort for someone who really needs help though.
