Hello, I have had a problem with i guess maybe their are acne spots on my breast areas, i know I sound embarassing for posting this thread. Is this a normal thing. Do most women experience this? Is there anyway i could get rid of these red blotches.

When did it start? If it's recent it could be the hot weather as you're sweating more so your pores will get blocked easier. My skin breaks out a bit in the summer sometimes. I just make sure i have two showers a day and scrub my skin with a loafer/sponge (not too hard though). It's very common.

Not a woman, but it could be a heat rash... does it get more noticeable after a hot shower or being outside? You might also want to look at the ingredients in your shampoo, soap or laundry detergent.

did you recently eat any dairy? this could be cheese on pizza, fancy lattes, ice cream, cottage cheese, milkshake, yogurt, sour cream, lasagna... anything with dairy as an ingredient?

they inject hormones into cows to produce more milk than natural... which is then inside all dairy products... causing you to become hormonally imbalanced... and: acne!

drink lots of water & eat your veggies

I think it started maybe a couple weeks ago. They're just like little red blotchy pimples. I just feel kind of embarrassing that it's right on my breast areas it looks so gross. I never took two showers day(just one shower every other day) but maybe I'll try that. Thanks for your advice.

I think I noticed it does get a little more noticeable after taking hot baths/showers but I never take notice of it outside. However, I did notice my arm has the same acne like bump that looks similar to my breast break out. I wonder if I have oily bad skin...

I think I did increase on my intake on dairy a little too much. I never thought it was the problem until you mentioned it. I'll try and lower my consumption of it from now on. Thanks for your advice

for a long time when i was on a high dose of zyprexa my breasts produced milk and the glands were kinda clogged so there were bumps- medication? pregnancy?

glad to help! it is amazing how little dairy it takes to set off my skin. i had lasagna for dinner the other day... sure enough, like clockwork... breakout. like hennyfink, i tried oral and topical meds that never seemed to work, but it wasn't until i eradicated dairy from my diet that i noticed a huge difference. good luck!

I'm a man but could it be exzema (how ever its spelled) or like an acne breakout maybe? Have you started using a different kind of washing detergent on your clothes? The same thing happens to my wife if I wash everybodys clothes in Tide detergent.

What about meat though? I've noticed that vegetarians/vegans generally seem to have much clearer skin than me. Have you tried temporarily cutting out meat from your diet before? Or is it just dairy products that influence skin balance?

Meh. I don't want to go down the vegan route. I'd love to have clear skin... but but... I love me milk, yoghurt, beef and chicken.

hmm, i am not a big meat eater but you are probably onto something. i still meat occasionally but haven't noticed it blow up my skin the way dairy does...

if it has that much of an affect on skin, what is it doing to the tissues on the inside (brain/psychology)?

Actually, my parents wash my clothes so I really don't know what type of detergent I have. I probably do have Tide, I never knew it could break out skin in red blotches. Thanks for telling me that.

I eat quite a bit of meat and drink lots of milk-- I have had milk with practically every meal from a very young age through into my 20s, eat heaps of cheese and chocolate and have always had very clear skin. I really don't think that dairy can cause acne unless you have an allergy or something... I don't know enough about it to say for sure but it's possible that it might aggravate existing conditions.

It's more likely detergent or soap... if it's blotches, then it sounds more like a rash than acne... I would say heat rash but it could also be an allergy of some kind-- sometimes these things don't develop until your late 20s or so. I would definitely switch your detergent or get some decent soap/shampoo instead of the cheap brands with all kinds of irritants in them and I bet you'll see a difference.

not everyone who eats dairy gets acne... but for a lot of people this is a huge trigger. it is like sensitive skin- not everyone who uses detergent is going to have a reaction because everyone's tolerance to certain things varies with body chemistry. perhaps your body chemistry allows you a high tolerance for hormones before experiencing a reaction, but a lot of people have a low tolerance for hormones. so, don't rule it out just because it didn't happen to you.

to the OP, did you start using a new conditioner? certain conditioners break me out if they tend to leave a residue (especially "moisturizing" conditioners).

I'm on the candida diet at the moment and my skin has cleared up a treat! I've suffered for years with spots and eczema.

I'm a guy but the same thing happens to me: little red bumps on my chest, back, and upper arms. I never linked them to my dairy intake though; that's an interesting thought. Maybe I'll try using a body scrub myself.
