When it comes to dating and general leadership, I agree. Girls just have to sit back and accept some guy's invitation to go out to eat or something. Guys are forced to do all the gruntwork most of the time. Guys are also expected to be strong and manly and not show weaknesses which I assume is an absolute nightmare.
However, there are some things that I think affect girls more when dealing with SA. For example, I noticed girls tend to gossip much more harshly than guys do, which can really spike the anxiety/paranoia levels. Guys do gossip, but it's usually along the lines of "he sucks, man. He can't _____ for shit" and the other guys say "yeah" and it's over. Girls will elaborate on every detail and many times they're also not as critical of guys as they are of other girls. It makes girls with SA afraid to bond cause we don't know what the other girls are saying when we're not there.
I think body image also affects the SA of girls much more than it does with guys, for a plethora of reasons.
