How cool is Paul the octopus? Who actually had the idea of putting national flags into his tank? That could have been somewhat potentially embarrassing if he hadn't turned out to be a genius mollusk.

Horrible game imo. The Dutch was way too violent. A disgrace for football. Seemed more like a rugby game for them. 8 yellow cards + 1 red in a game is really crazy. Spain had the most chances but played way to defensive I think. But Spain scored and had the most chances so it is fair that they win I think. Congrats to Spain.

South Africa can be very proud of a very well done World Cup. Yes a lot of people didnt believe it would be a success but it was. Now the pressure is on Brazil

ah, I feel really sad now the world cup is over! I don't remember ever getting so into a world cup as I did with this one. It was awesome! I barely missed a match! It was a brilliant tournament all in all. I'm not sure the football was of the highest quality....maybe the Jabulani had something to do with that?....but the drama definitely was!...what with France, Italy and England all having meltdowns!......my favourite teams of the tournament were Chile, Mexico, Cameroon and Spain...the way these teams played football was really entertaining to watch.....and I definitely think Spain were worthy winners. I was disappointed with the way the Dutch played in the final though...far too dirty, and it spoiled the game....but the best team won in the end.

Good job South Africa!.....and the vuvuzela's only annoyed me for the first 5 minutes I heard them ;)....after that I really liked the atmosphere they created, and I think whenever we watch world cup highlights reels the South African clips will always stand out now with that iconic sound.

world cup over bring on the english prem season till we see some proper football,south africa done a great job hosting but tbh the football was one of the worst iv seen but think all the drama was still there and best team won i feel .......................come on liverpool fc for the new season
