Any Collectors Out There?

Yeah, I collect CD's. I've been doing it for many years now and, while I haven't bought any recently, I will continue to do so (until I get tired of it).

 omg Mickey.
...do you worry about people being your friends just so they can borrow some of your CD's ? :D;)
(I would be worried about that, but then I am a tad bit paranoid about why people want to be friends with me. lol)

I used to collect old coins, but I eventually lost interest in it.

No, because 99% of those CD's are heavy metal and not many people I know like heavy metal. :)
I do! And I'll sneak in your house once you're asleep to steal them all!! mwahahahaha

Once I get to Australia on foot.

No you won't! I'll have security forces around them if necessary.

ahhh i c.:)
Besides, the few metalhead friends I do have, I won't let them borrow them because music is one of the only reasons I get up every morning, and they happen to appreciate that. Plus I've got some rare/hard-to-find/expensive CD's in there and I don't want them ruined (not that they'd wreck them, but still).

I collect toe nail clippings.

So that none of you lose your lunches I will refrain from posting a picture.

I used to collect a few things but it just seems like a bad idea now that I'm older and don't have a stable home environment.
I move too often to keep much.
I have the essentials and that's about it.

I used to have a movie collection- over 500 dvd's, probably closer to 1000 titles and collectors boxes.
The ex still has them and I doubt I'll ever get them back.

I also had a collection of paintings and sculptures I did in highschool.
Over 50 pieces.
Ex has those, too...
haha

And I had a fairly large collection of musical instruments but over the years, I've had to sell them to get by.

I don't really have much now, but someday I'd like to have a small collection of pretty things. Family heirlooms and such; just small things to display somewhere nice... that would be wonderful.

Wow, Mikey, that is quite an impressive collection. I didn't know that much metal existed in the world. ::p:

wow Mikey great cd collection! My library of metal mp3s is of a similar size, but having the physical cds is far more impressive.

I have a small music dvd collection, several shelves full of books and thousands of electronic books. I used to collect badges from gift shops when I was a child...had several hundred of them I think.

Me neither until I found Metal-Archives.com and my world exploded. :)

Yeah so true. There's so much metal out there that gets virtually no advertising or airtime outside of the metal 'scene'. In fact I'd say 95% of the metal bands I listen to would be unknown to the average person in the street.

I have a small book and magazine collection, even smaller music collection, and I used to collect currency.

As much as I listen to music and read, you'd think my collections would be WAY bigger. Rather than buy books, I tend to borrow them from friends or the library and read them before I buy them. You know, because I'm cheap and I don't want to waste my money on a book I've never read if I don't like it. Also, my music collection on my computer is pretty big, but I'd really like to have it all in physical form though (Like Mikey's!). I actually have a list of all the CDs and books I'd like to own. I'm slowly adding to my collection, it's even harder when you have to pinch what little money you have.

I'll post some pics up later, once I actually get back to my room.

I used to collect all sorts of things when I was younger: rocks, pencils, little animal figurines, stickers, butterfly wings, you name it. These days I mostly just collect books and various vintage items for household use and decoration. They are all kind of spread out around the house, but I do have a pic of my living room bookshelf, which incorporates some of both of those things. Oh yeah, and I have started somewhat of a houseplant collection, but pics of that would be kind of boring. :)

Name drop some for me. Maybe I've heard of some.

That is a very elegant bookshelf. Something about it screams grace. I like it a lot.

Well I have CDs/DVDs for Sabaton, Kalmah, Insomnium, Turisas, Sonata Arctica, Ensiferum to name a few. :D
I've heard of most of those but the only one I have is Above The Weeping World from Insomnium. Nice tastes, though!
