Anyone personally? Or are you referring to yourself, too?

Mine has been okay. First half was worse.

Myself too, but lots of people I know have had bad years, though none more so than one girl I knew at school... She's been ill a lot this year, in January her baby girl was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties and developed pneumonia, so was in for over a week, then her fiance got hit by a car whilst on his motorbike, her son has been ill with severe colds and chest infections frequently, then last month there was a house fire in which their puppy died - they're now living with her mother until the house can be repaired. Then the other day her baby girl suddenly developed a high temperature and started fitting. She was rushed to hospital, where she eventually stopped fitting and they kept her in monitoring her for 18 hours...

She's feeling very negative about life at the moment, which is all the more sad considering she's one of the nicest people I know. Tomorrow however, some of her friends are throwing her a surprise party during which they will present her with money that has been raised to help after the fire.

Damn, that is a tragic sequence of events for your friend. I can understand that she'd be quite negative right now, as anyone would be. Here's hoping she pulls through from despair and adversity.

Why has your year been bad? Any significant events or lots of little things?

Well, it started in November/December last year - my agoraphobia resurfaced, my general anxiety increased. My mother caused problems for my wedding. In January until May my dog was very ill and I thought she might die (it was actually a simple protein deficiency), my SI joint has become a severe problem in terms of pain, I had the worst gall stone attack ever and thought I might die, and had an infection for a week after it, my dog punctured her soft palate with a stick, and has twice ripped open her dew claws on her hind legs. But it's mostly been the anxiety throughout the year.

I always get so depressed around my birthday.
Going to be 23 in a few days...
And I have absolutely no clue what to do with my life.
Or if I can even do anything.

See, I was all excited about going to hell, but now that I know Miley Cyrus is going to be there, I'm not so sure anymore. ;) What a clusterf*#k of miscellaneous celebrities and dead people thrown together.

Also, I personally don't really get the point of the picture. I mean, okay, if you go to hell you'll be with a whole bunch of celebrities, but aren't celebrities just regular people? I mean, is it because that they are famous, that they can't possibly be bad company?

I would personally not care much about meeting any of these individuals, but maybe I'm just weird..

My mom is so selfish! I ran out of my antidepressants and have to get a refill, and she told me we could use the money from returning her booze bottles to pay my copay. Well, she decided to drive to the store (drunk, I might add) and return the bottles tonight so she can buy more alcohol.

Now I won't have any meds until Tuesday, which means I'll end up going through withdrawals over the weekend.

I can't believe she'd do this just so she can drink more. I hate her so much right now.

That shows you that it is not a good idea to become addicted.

It figures that after developing interest in someone who seems like a rational, kind human being, I find out he's a steadfast PETA supporter.

Because, y'know, they "make some good points" even if they "go too far sometimes," so don't give them the finger and move on to other organizations or anything.

I don't know what to feel about this guy now.

^ I supported PETA until I realised how hypocritical they are... I just put up with their "extreme" ways of doing things because they were at least still most vocal in things which I support... But once I found out more about them, well that was it! So don't feel badly about this person, show him some of the hypocritical things about PETA (easy to search for) and then see how he feels about them.

********************

Waking up to the neighbour's child shouting "mam, mam, mam, mam, mam, dad, dad, dad, mam, mam, dad, dad, dad, dad, mam, mam, mam, dad, dad, dad, mam, mam,," ad infinitum - well, for over half an hour anyway - is incredibly annoying! Especially when they're awake (I could hear their voices) and they're just ignoring him! UGH!

Stupid pissing rituals. Today is going to be one of those days. I've had a relatively compulsion-free week, too. Ugh. I really need to get on with my research proposal.

What is PETA?

If you've heard of publicity stunts like people splashing fake animal blood on others or bastardizing children's games involving animals (Mario, Pokemon, Cooking Mama, etc) to make them bloody and murderous, that was the laughingstock of an animal rights group known as PETA. The tip of the iceberg, anyway.

I've never been the girl who gathers all of her friends on phone and just randomly talk about things. I'm at the point of throwing away the cell phone anyways and just using the home phone. I'm not a big lets talk on the phone type a person. Call me weird hate me if you have to. I prefer sending a email or something to meet then we talk face to face. Random conversation no problem but to just sit home and chat on the phone...i've never been that type of girl...I don't know....do I do what I prefer as comfortable or go out of my comfort for others. Yeah they mean alot to me but I don't know. I'm just not a bullsh** on the phone girl sorry world.
