26, old?! you're only a year older than me and i still go out every weekend to have fun. don't give up just because you think it's too late - it's better to start now than never. believeeeee me if you don't you're gonna be kicking yourself in the ass later on in life when you're old and wrinkly, and come to the realization that you missed out on so much in life. it's like Deus said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take... so go out and make some damn shots.

YES!!! It's never too late even if it seems so; but the sooner you start the better. I wasted a few years now having stopped taking shots; it may feel like it's too late; but that's just a feeling. It saddens me ppl so depressed hoping for death and they're so young, 20s, even 30s is young. When good things can happen suddenly and anywhere - but rarely will they fall on your lap, and even if they do, gotta go seize them and grab hold or it'll slip by either way.

The hardest thing is starting imo - and to not being discouraged by an air ball your first few shots. Like anything in life tho, if you're truly serious, the more you do, the better you'll get. Momentum will follow if you pick up pace and keep going (consistency).

Anyways - everyone must arrive at their own realization and point - I spent 3 years in a bad spot, letting things slip by, feeling sorry for myself, hopeless, but - it's time to stop living in the past in regrets. I graduate now, just turned "25", and it's hard not to slip back into old thoughts and ways and not take shots, but it's a process, slow, I accepted that, but more reason to begin now - I'm determined, too much living ahead I can be miserable or try to be happy. But I gotta make it happened. No one walks your path for you. Not an easy road, but plenty of motivation to get back on it.

Anyways turned a tad bit off topic, apologies I should probably move it =) Fdctk just motivated me some more.

I went out maybe 100 times before I gave up, and I never had a conversation once with a girl. I can honesty say that I never met a single girl in my entire life. Sad but true and I don't see how this can change.

Girls don't just start yapping at you out of the blue, you have to approach them first unless your job deals with customer service. You also need to talk to any girl, not just the girls who you think are rated 10 in looks if that's what you're doing. Think of girls like motorbikes...you gotta start small and work your way up.

I'm bad at those, i just mean start at even ones you don't find attractive and build your confidence up (it's what i've always been told) untill you can do it with any woman any time.

Can I ask how you would feel if some girl were to appear to show interest in you, only for you to then find out that she didn't find you attractive at all but was just using you to "build her confidence up"?

Wow.... I'm no feminist but I hate when men compare women to objects :( And just for the record, no, I do NOT do that to men.

Work your way up?? So, those girls who are not exactly "10's" in looks are worth less than the better-looking ones?

God, I hate society.

I hate this too. Tho... on a purely primal, physical level quick judgements are made and most guys think with their peens. But that's also just human nature. INITIALLY. But what many guys and yeah gals too dont realize is "looks" become enhanced when you see/get to know the internal: mind, intellect, personality, spirit - of the person. Even a little. "Numbers" raise. OR get worse =)

No human being is worth less because of looks. But that's my sentiment. However, I don't want to be hypocritical, there is a quick pass of judgment based on initial looks it's human nature but cant equate worthiness on that. But a hot "10" who is a ditz is so unattractive, good lord. Becomes a -200000

Ahahahaha :D

And you know, so many girls play that part thinking it's the exact opposite - really attractive. Well, to a lot of guys I guess it is. They just want a girl who LOOKS hot so they can have fun..... but don't have to worry about much else. Heh.

Even worse when women play dumb for dumb brutes.

A long few years ago when I was actually going out and better, at a club (hate them tho only went a few times) there was a really attractive girl, was in a group and she was talking and nobody was home. Like was talking to one of those automated IM bots/help online. So off putting. I said, after a few drinks mind you, "Wow you're pretty stupid". I didn't believe I said that and expected a drink in my face but she said "Ohhh Thank you". Granted it was very loud with the music. But yeah... I left. God I hate clubs. Definitely dont miss that.

I would not care, there is a billion+ other women in the world. I'm not really worried about having a GF, i just wanna date or have sex all the time.

Isolation can easily lead to objectification and egomania, be careful with that. Anyway, the thread is going way off-topic now.

Agreed; continue further discussion in a new thread. To get this thread back on track...
