Does anyone else find this whole "brony" (my little pony) thing, weird?

Ponies r srs bsns

This certainly is a very srs bsns. Those damned ponies have stolen the vowels right out of your sentence!!!! You see! They're no good! NO GOOD CAN COME OF THIS. I'm glad I had keyboard cat play them out already, now there's a real animal icon. <3 keyboard cat

Does anyone know how do we can link our names in with keyboard cat to make it sound like were brothers with it or whatever the cool thing is? I want to be a keyboard cat brother... ...oh maybe a keyboard cat sister

I watched the episode that was linked and though I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, I thought it was nice.

A lot of people like kiddie cartoons into adulthood. I still watch disney movies.

There was a time when people thought anime were cartoons and unfairly judged me for watching it. In every fandom there are people who take it too far but I don't think liking this show is weird.

I find it weird yes. Maybe Ive just had bad luck but yeah.. the ones I have met haven't been content just to enjoy watching it, instead it's like some huge lifestyle choice which defines them and they like to push in peoples faces.

One gaming friend tried to convince me that I secretly like it, that if I don't I'm really just suppressing something or scared to like it, when in reality I just didn't like it lol.
It honesty creeped me out because they were so obsessed with it and it was like they were not just content to enjoy it, she wanted to convert me or something and I actually had to block her in the end.

^ Lmao.

But yeah, I can understand FF's frustration. While I love the show, like with anything else, equal respect has to be given to those that don't like it. Pushing it onto someone that genuinely doesn't like it is disrespectful. There's being fanatic and involved, and there's being plain pushy and annoying.

Though, that is another example of the loud ones. It's not representative to the whole community.

^ Hello, sir.

Do you have a moment to talk about Princess Celestia?

 Thats honestly what it felt like!

Yeah I never said it was indicative of the whole community :) Just the ones I have met have all been extreme about it, and lived up to the stereotypes.

I have my own interests that other people could find weird like I use to love dungeons and dragons and other table top stuff, so I'd never judge someone for their interests even if I don't understand it, because not everyone understood what I saw in those sort of things.

Its the bizarre behavior which can come with any extreme fandom which is what bugs and unsettles me.

It's just to demonstrate how far humans can be brainwashed... "Look what we can do!" There's a lot of gender identity mash-ups going on these days... Making it and more an more difficult to define what it is to be a sexually dimorphic human. In the future we will all be gender neutral giant praying mantises...

That would be cool. If we were gender-neutral, we wouldn't have these annoying gender roles.

Although, that can also be solved with some education.

Does that education involve FORCING people to experience alternative gender roles? That still constitutes RAPE in my book. I don't want to have sex with men (my personal choice). I also don't want to wear a french maid outfit to work (again my personal choice). If you want to do that that's YOUR personal choice.

Who said anything about forcing? o_O;;

And I'm not going to get into the rape thing you just said... That's just too much for my brain to process.

There's a big difference between asking for tolerance and dominating and overpowering those who do not submit to your will.... I support gay marriage!

Don't worry, I totally understand what you meant. Sorry if I made it seem like I thought you were a judgemental jerk. :x

I just want to clearly state things in this thread, saying them multiple times (because it seems like my posts here exist in another physical realm entirely, for the people that need to read them most.)

We're cool. ;)

*Weird thing..*

Oh what the heck.. No costume or anything? No curly hair, different colours in the hair and tail, the blue paint used is totally wrong too.

As far as creepy cosplay goes, that's just lazy. :B
