Do people sometimes think your boring?

I listen to indie, old school and alternative stuff. I dont do sports. I dont play a lot. I love reading classic literature and I love drawing. So ok Im a total hipster but some people can call me a geezer because Im not like other teens today.

Well your interests sound cool to me :)

Btw in the uk "Geezer" is the same as someone calling you mate, depending on the context of course :D

It all depends really on the person. I can be boring sometimes when I am tired. I like to write poetry, read books on quantum physics for fun, watch movies over and over again. That's my 'boring' side. But I'm not all the time XD. I can be impulsive. Some say I am an interesting being .
So I'm clueless.

When I'm sick, I can't really leave my bed; so yeah-- sure. I've been called boring before.
I don't think the people who have called me boring really understood the situation though.
Some people used to think I was 'faking' sick because I'm sick most of the time.

The rest of the time, people have enjoyed my randomness and humor.

A lot of people tell me I'm really calm and laid-back, which often translates in my head as, "boring".

Yep, I've gotten it numerous times, mainly from my family though. I'm often found reading, either articles online or a book, browsing the web, and watching my favorite tv shows and/or movies. I don't like to go out constantly or be around people every single minute of the day. Apparently being introverted and keeping to yourself = boring.

It irks me so. -.-

If you can have fun doing what you want to do then who cares if people call you boring?
You're not a monkey that should dance for their entertainment-- if they think you're boring, they can entertain themselves.

I'm sure I seem boring to other people, mostly because I prefer not to be around them. Besides, boring is a very relative thing. You and I have a lot of similar interests, so of course I'm not going to think you're boring. But if you try to hang out around people who don't share those interests and activities, then they might see you as a boring person, in their eyes. I think clubbing and bar-hopping and that sort of thing are the most boring things in the world, so yeah, I get bored with the type of people who do that and talk about it 24/7.

I don't know. Don't recall anyone saying it to me directly. I have to wonder though because I rarely get an invite to a party/bonfire or anything else. I barely say much too

This is probably why I don't hear people say it. I'm never invited to anything social outside of family gatherings- which I don't always make it to, and even there I don't say much. My main interactions with people (outside of my children) are at work, and there isn't much opportunity there for chit-chat, or for people to ascertain that I'm boring. Or if they do, they don't say so to my face.

Yes, but I don't care. If I can't find common ground with people, then yes they might think it. It makes everything uncomfortable and awkward also.....

I don't get called it to my face, but people who know me are often surprised by how little I actually do when getting through the days. For some reason I can easily get by on a handful of really non-interesting daily pastimes. The thing is, I am open to all sorts of things out in the big wide world, I just rarely get around to doing them.

you're not boring, you just sound like you're more peaceful and less energized than those who are super jump-around-hyped on...something.. people. Boring only exists for people with very high energy expenditure, or people who need stimulation to suppress a state of mind/body, and you don't end up giving them what they feel like they need. At least if you look at it this way, more people are 'boring' than they think because it's the one's that NEED you not to be 'boring' that are craving stimulation because they themselves have low energy expenditure.. And those that are truly not boring wouldn't see the existence of boring
