How do you feel about your birthday?

I'll be 18 in just three days... I'll probably be alone on that "special day". At least I'm getting a keyboard for my birthday so that way I've got a friend! ...It counts, right? Oh. I see. It doesn't.

Mines in 2weeks, its kinda scaring me, going to a friends bday tonight and he's got a Facebook event thing going and everything he's got so many more friends then just the group I know him from. Last time I tried to have a bday dinner like that only 2 people showed up. So this year I'm leaving town for the day I think.

Keyboard as in music? If so that's always a reason to celebrate! :D

You should do something special for your 18th. It's a milestone. :)

I suppose I'm pretty indifferent to my birthday. I like to spend it relaxing and doing something enjoyable if possible, so that it's not just like all the days either side of it, but I'm a bit beyond getting all excited about it now. (Unless anyone feels like buying me a PSVita this year, in which case I'll happily jump up and down and squeal like a overexcited seven year old! :D)

I hate getting older because I never feel I've done enough for my age.

Yeah. Birthdays always make me feel extra vulnerable. Maybe because another year has gone by? Thinking about time and how fast it passes by scares me, and I can get obsessive about it. Like, I am running out of time, and I am not close to where I should be by this time. Makes me anxious.

Birthdays are pretty scary nowadays. I'm only 19 but I already feel like I'm falling behind already in what I've supposed to have accomplished by now. I know I'm only a fraction behind my peers but it feels like a huge chasm sometimes and I don't want it to get wider and wider every year.

Anyway birthdays are ok in themselves. Last year I tried to have a good time (and did) by doing stuff I enjoyed and ignoring everything else. It went downhill when I got about 4 or 5 half hearted facebook messages (I hate facebook, don't know why I still use it).. then got momentarily depressed that a friend's 1 year old son (who obviously can't even read) got 12 times more happy birthdays than me. Haha.. eh.

Anyway they're alright.. I'm glad though I don't have another until October though hehe. :D

Matchbox kayak? ;)

What is that like? Does it feel like your birthday is washed away in the event of Christmas? My neighbour's birthday is also December 25th and I reckon it would be terrible!

Well not always. Since my family are all Christians, we also have to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
