courageous, not afraid to stand by their convictions, not afraid to have a different opinion and risk being unpopular.
I am drawn to people who are friendly, warm, considerate and kind. I also like people who are confident enough to show inclusivity to everyone and to take notice of those who dont seem to 'fit in' particualrly well. I admire people who are thoughtful and look past their gut reactions and take their time with understanding the world around them.
There are lots of traits I like. A sense of humour always goes down well. Intelligence and easy conversation is also enjoyable.
When I was in high school, and even primary school, I would try to make friends with all the new kids in school. I guess they didn't see me as the unpopular kid so that meant I was at an advantage. I tried to be nice like that but niceness gets you nowhere in school.I like that trait too. Sensitive to loners I guess you mean.
In year 5 or 6 of primary school there was a new kid. Leroy Brown; for some reason I will never forget his name. He put glue on my chair, stole my pencils, called me names, and made my life a living hell. I guess I couldn't make friends with him and that upset me at the time. I hated him.
.
Thanks. It doesn't matter now. We were all about 11 or 12 years old and nobody knew any better. My lack of confidence back then showed just as much as it does now. If only someone picked up on it....Aww, I have no idea why someone would want to pick on someone as nice as you. You seem like you were a really good kid. I can't believe how cruel kids can be. I don't understand what happens to the brain at that age that rationalizes that kind of behavior.

But yeah, I was - and still am - more aware of the quieter contributors to a group. Whether I approach them or not is another issue but I am more aware these days.
^^Everybody, he's clearly talking about me, so don't waste your time wondering. We all know I'm the most awesome.:cool
I like people who can get my weird sense of humor!! I love laughing and cannot stand to be around somebody who has absolute no sense of humor and gets offended at everything. They don't take themselves too seriously and are laid-back.
...a little weird, maybe a little off, eccentrics but not jerks. People who don't try to make me feel bad, or put me down so they can make themselves feel better, and they don't do this to other people either (I seem to come across many people like that: bullies suck.). I like those with a sense of humor, who don't take themselves so seriously, as that will remind me not to take myself so seriously either. I like honest, genuine people. Humility is a trait I also admire; I can't stand people who gloat. I also tend to like people who talk to me; it makes me feel liked and I like feeling liked, haha...
I get offended at everything and I take myself VERY VERY VERY seriously so your post has hurt me deeply......
How's that for a weird sense of humour?
