People are disgusting

I think I'm starting to hate everyone. I hate everyone, and I hate myself. I'm sick of being here. Everything's horrible, and people are horrible. Everyone I've got to know properly have turned into arseholes. I don't like anyone.

I think it's an absolute disgrace , the girl really needs to get in to touch with reality and she will when when she has a very bad experience and realises that (as someone quoted) ... expensive cloths and iphones are the least to worry about.

As a person who has to pay bills and works for a living, school and making ends meat are totally off the scale. It's a totally different world , some of these students and school kids don't have a frigging clue at all what the real worlds like. I've already had a few relatives die and having gone to funerals watching coffins being carried into churches it makes you put things into perceptive a little.

I found this website on google and I'd though I'd make a comment I'm a shy young ADULT my self and I would class my self on the same boat as you guys/members on here.

I share your frustrations I really am getting so **** off with people , even when driving around in a car ...... it's like living with animals even if some people think England is a very civilized country.

I do hope this post isn't deleted, thanks for reading. Sorry for the moan!

So we had a class with a man called Mike* yesterday morning, and we were all sat in the class but Mike wasn't there. Our tutor came into the room and said "Mike won't be in today, he has just found out horrible news; his family has died in an accident". WANNA KNOW WHAT THE FIRST THING ONE OF MY CLASSMATES SAID?

"Oh cool, does that mean we can go home?"
When my tutor said "I can't believe you would say that!", the girl replied with "I didn't mean that *that* was cool, just, can we go home?"

I couldn't believe she said that. I turned around in my seat absolutely gobsmacked. But since this girl was a popular girl, she got away with it, nobody minded, they just carried on chatting as normal whilst I sat there thinking about how disgusting humans are. This is why I prefer not to get involved with people. I'm ashamed to be human.
I mean, Mike isn't the nicest man in the world, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be treated equally. The poor man must be in pieces. I ****ing hate this world.

Good on you for saying something. Hopefully she will be having second thoughts about her attitude and will have learned from it. Unfortunately I wasn't surprised by her reaction, society has become much more self-centred these days. Any classroom will have a mixture of people in it, so try not to focus too much on the negatives as it will only make you miserable, just be yourself and perhaps you will effect some change for the better in others.

Maybe she can't help but feel indifferent, but she could have at least had enough sense to keep her thoughts to herself. I don't expect her to care, but she could have enough sense to think before she speaks.

I don't understand how someone can say something like that if their conscience is working properly.

Unfortunately, not where I'm from in the U.S. So many racists and bigots in this town. I even got a KKK pamphlet at my door one time. I hate it here.

I very much agree.

Yall are right, I get really pissed when I read about things like that. Honestly though driving up and down the street with a coffin to torment a little girl who's mom just died is sick, and not to mention the cyber bullying they did I do think there should be some type of punishment.

I very much agree.

About the class's reaction, on the tube there was a delay announcement which they said was caused because somebody had thrown themselves onto the tracks. When I heard this, my first thought was how awful that was...and what state that person must have been in to do that. When this man's suicide was mentioned, not one of the thirty or so people in the train battered an eye lid. I felt very much what you feel about your class not saying or evidently feeling anything. But, although I was saddened by this, I didn't make it physically known (out of embarrassment and the fact I'm a very private person). So perhaps a few people in the tube were affected by the death, but, like me, didn't give off any vibes as to what they were feeling inside.

I agree with it that is ok if she dont react nothing, she must not express her feelings and crying about it. People a lot of times dont feel empathy by sad stories or accidents what happend to others people (they arent involved), no one said she must cry and say oh poor Mike parents and make theatrical performance filled with sadness. Vibes must be not seems can be deep inside or just being neutral dont say nothing. Maybe she will understand later and maybe also not. Bad people do exist if not we propably wouldnt be here. If people would be really good then why is so much violence, murders, bullies etc. because of fun?

Some people don't deserve to be popular.
Nobody does, actually; You should have told her "What would you do if someone you loved died in a car accident and someone said something b!tchy to you? If you don't know what it's like, don't open your mouth. It may end up biting you in the butt later."
Or .... "Would you find it funny if you found out your grandmother died from a stroke, you wanted to go home, but your teacher told you to suck it up and deal with it?"

Maybe some people there didn't like what she said, but due to her popular-status they were too worried to speak up; It's like they're following eachother. They don't want to say it was wrong in worry they'd be picked on.

I'm not trying to sound rude here.

I bet a lot of people in the class were disgusted at what she said. But it takes a lot of courage to speak up and tell her what you think. Was there a silence after she said it? That could mean a lot of classmates were shocked by what she said.

Reminds me of a poem i heard once. I couldn't find it, but the poet talks about how he was driving home from work one day and he came across a terrible accent, then he goes into detail to describe the horror and terribleness of it. And the last line is "And I wonder what's for dinner".

Things like this don't even get a reaction out of me anymore. I have lost faith in humanity a long time ago. Maybe I'm just so desensitized from witnessing even bigger jerks in action on an almost daily basis. Maybe it's just the fact that I live in a city of violent psychopaths and taxi drivers. (yes taxi drivers are as bad as psychopaths here).

But all in all I think being human is about being cruel and disgusting, not the other way round. If you are "humane" you don't really fit in with society anymore. I don't know what the reason for it is, but finding good people today is hard. Maybe I'm better off being alone.

It seems that people are becoming more and more selfish and cold. Its no longer about us, about family, about community..its about what's in it for me. Is it the new facebook, reality TV world? What is wrong with this world?

You have popular shows like Glee that shows people who are all sickenly selfish and cold (even though they are suppose to be outsiders) and its established as acceptable. Yes, its satirical and entertaining, but very distrubing as its still portrayed as reality...and for many people it is.
