Why is it some people are quick to dish out unhelpful comments when they don't understand what we go through like for example if im too shy to talk to a woman they would say things like MAN UP i mean WTF?? ::(:

As soon as you learn to pay less attention to people and what they say the better for you. Most people dont understand what you are going through and dont care.Just learn to love yourself more and do things that makes you happy.

That's so sad. Give people the power of anonymity and the stupider ones go off on it.
Hope it didn't stop you from posting more videos.

I don't think you should take these kind of comments too seriously...
Contrary to us, people don't think before they talk, so this is just spontaneous comments. I mean I don't think they TRY to understand you. And I don't think you should expect them to understand. Like they don't expect you to understand their inner self. The idea that you have a serious issue with that matter probably don't even cross their mind.

Peeps who leave those types of comments really don't have a life of thier own since they aren't going out or doing something else; they are spending thier free times puting others down. If they don't understand or don't care about SA they would be doing something else.

"Just be yourself."

If I didn't have to learn manually what other people know intuitively, I wouldn't develop anxiety in the first place.

its the way it is with the web. lots of angry people who have nothing better to do than cut people down. also on the web they can say whatever they want without the fear getting their ass beat...things they would not say in real life. dont worry about it.

I posted a couple of YouTube videos, and it did go through my mind before posting, the fact that they can be really mean on there. In addition to that, when you think about it, anybody could take your video, freeze it at a point where you have a weird look on your face, run it backwards and laugh at you, etc. I guess I'm just at the point where that kind of thing doesn't bother me anymore. We do live in a video chatting age, so I guess a lot of people have decided not to let it bother them either.

Because they'll never really understand what you've been through. It's easier to say things like that so your problems won't burden them no more... :)

the point is... they don't really care

They're quick to give unhelpful comments because they like to think they know it all. Sadly, it just ends up revealing their ignorance.

It could also be another thing:

People dont understand or even know about SAD. People could also think that you have no reason to be so afraid of speaking to women, thus think it is super silly to be so afraid, which is why they say such comments. Like someone who is afraid of a mouse and they start sweating, trembling, etc... someone like me, who isnt afraid of such a 'silly' thing, I could be like "Man up" because to me it is just so silly. Know what I mean?

I think they're partly right on some par though.... but then again it is very difficul to just "man up" or even impossible for us with SA... but we should man up by doing something about our SA and not just letting it be. :)

i always think to myself "why does he/she think they can fix my problems in 5 seconds and i've been trying for years - doesn't it occur to them that i wouldve already exhausted all the obvious possible solutions such as to 'man up'"

but then i think "omg dont be bitter and snap at them they don't have any obligation to help you yet theyre still trying"

Yes those people are the worst and always boils my heart down with anger. There is surprisingly a lot of them, sigh*

There is always a strikingly powerful comeback to every one of these mean/unhelpful comment (not unhelpful as in harmless and joking attitude, but aggressive attitude).

No matter what, keep your chin high and appreciate what you have right now :)
