Which Would You Get Rid of First?

I only had depression and SA. It makes more sense to get rid of depression first. It just paralyzes you in each and every way, and robs you of any motivation to do or change anything. Once that is under control, fixing SA is easier.

The first thing I would want to get under control is depression, than attack my social problems. I tend to have obsessive thoughts and tendencies, but those are positive when I am feeling better, positive, and motivated as opposed to when I am depressed which leads to rumination. Nothing says I cannot address both issues at once though, and in fact it works out as one improves so does the other, so really I would get rid of both at the same time.

SA,Depression,OCD For me.
SA Is probably the main cause of my depression.

Yes, this.

My social anxiety makes everything 5 times more difficult than it really is. If it weren't for that, I don't think I'd be so depressed in the first place - so I'd be killing two birds with one stone.

If I have OCD, it's not severe. I can live with it.

I'm not really sure what came first, depression or avoidance/SA, but I think it was the SA. Then as the SA got worse and avoidance kicked in, there came the depression. So I feel that the avoidance is the most important thing to address, then there probably wouldn't be a reason for depression. However, depression cripples you, sapping your motivation to do anything, so I'd probably want to be on some kind of medication or doing at least a little bit to tackle the depression so that facing the avoidance/SA issues seem more realistic. So in other words, both at the same time. But if I could only treat one, it would definitely be the SA, because just treating depression would be futile, it would keep coming back if the SA were still there.
