Yeah, I'm from Australia. City of Shellharbour in NSW, as it says in my avatar. Not a bad place to live, I guess. Beautiful beaches, plenty of malls (although I'm not a fan), great natural scenery, not far from Sydney but far enough to not have that smelly city atmosphere. Could be worse.
Um, I'm actually not sure. Mental health is certainly recognised as something to be aware of, and you can get Medicare rebates if you go to a doctor about it (which is what I did). If you qualify for a mental health plan you can get psychology visits for free. When I looked up places to go for therapy, there were certainly a lot. That means that mental health is important, or there's a lot of people in need! One thing that I notice is that Australia seems to be pretty open minded and advance as far as mental health. I know that many research and good help is available for you guys.....no? Is mental health less taboo up there?

Ah, I didn't know that. I'm not getting them free, but I'm getting them discounted. My mate gets all of his free, so I guess he's a more extreme case. You used to be able to get 12 free visits to a Psychologist per calender year under the Mental Health Plan, but because of the Government cut backs as of 2011 you can only get 10 now :/
Ontario must be just sooooo good, eh?Ontario, Canada.
