When you're walking down the street, which way are you looking?

When walking I look straight ahead.Unless I'm crossing a street of course. The reason I prefer to walk looking ahead:
I wrote a paper for a class once about rape statistics and in my research I discovered rapists target women who don't look confident or look at the ground when they walk.A woman with her head up and shoulders back looks strong,in control,and totally confident and therefore makes an undesirable target bc she's more likely to fight back and get away possibly.

If someone is taller than me, I will have no trouble looking straight ahead because I know I won't make awkward eye contact (direct or peripheral) with the person. If someone is about the same height, I look down. If someone is shorter, I look up.
