To be honest, there are some ladies on here whose posts I always read, and even look forward to. Even then, I don't always respond to their every post (or their every whim!).But I never had any luck with ladies who weren't awkward and afraid of socially interacting with me; so there's no way I'll ever try my luck with one who is. So no "aw, wouldn't they be cute together" gossip from me.
Plus, they're all so far away and stuck in this series of tubes. So the only way I'll give names is if the ladies themselves ask me. And I doubt they'll do that!
But remember, this is for posterity. So I'll be honest.

All it takes is a gentle nudge. Except in my case. I probably wouldn't notice a girl's interest or compatibility unless she announced it by megaphone. But that's okay, since girls never care about me. Except for Izabella. And Sophia, but I don't have any handy pics of her to post.
So let's just pretend that we never discussed this. Izabella sometimes gives me bruises....

Perhaps an official Match Book Keeper is what's needed here. So one can express an interest in someone without having to deal with a humiliating rejection. Plus, that saves the awkwardness of Person A knowing that Person B cares for him/her in a way that Person A could never reciprocate. So no sparks means no shame and humiliation for anyone.
If there is mutual interest, the aforementioned Keeper could give the respective people a gentle nudge or a smack on the forehead, whatever the case may be. Something may come of it, or perhaps nothing at all will transpire. But I'd imagine that anything would be better than sitting there alone, vainly trying to balance the pros and cons of speaking up or staying quiet. At least for those of us who currently find themselves in such a situation.
That way only interested parties opt-in, and there's no outside pressure or errors to account for.

On SATURDAY*, and SATURDAY only, let's all pretend we're 12 years old again. You know, when we relied on notes passed on by friends to divulge and inquire about love interests. But this time, your note only gets passed if the interest is mutual!
On SATURDAY, and SATURDAY only, I'll be that friend! Here's how it will work:
1) If you want to play along, send me a PM with the username(s) of the person(s) who have caught your eye. Please include the full username, as some names are similar. Also, please only PM me if it is SATURDAY where you live.
2) Wait until SATURDAY is over. Depending on the number and types of responses I receive, you may or may not get a response back. You will only receive a response if someone you expressed interest in also shows an interest in you!
3) When this ends, which will be either late Sunday night or early Monday morning (depending on my schedule), all the juicy gossip you send me will simply be deleted. Honestly, I couldn't care less about who fancies whom. I've always found gossip and excess drama rather boring and, frankly, a bit beneath me. I'm just trying to help some people out if possible.
4) If you really were hoping to express an interest in me ("Tiercel"), you're @#$% out of luck! I very much doubt that anyone would express interest in me ("Tiercel"), so I've decided to try this experiment myself. Very good point Paula and there will be no dating section here, people hooking up in private is obviously fine but we will not host, any kind of dating section/threads.
As for this scheme Tiercel, what about those who want to opt out and not be pestered? (like me for example), is it only people who both PM you and say each others names that you match up?

Yes, only people who both PM each other's names to me will be matched up. So unless you involve yourself, you won't be involved at all. I'll edit it and make that part more clear.
Like I said, this is really just an experiment (although "scheme" sounds good, too!) that will be a one-time deal. It's not meant to be a contest, nor to make anyone feel bad. I just figured that if there are any sparks between people on this site, they could conceivably hesitate to pursue those sparks further, as this is not a dating site. But outside of people who know about social phobia and related disorders, not many people understand what we deal with on a daily basis. So if two people on here share a liking for each other, I'll give them a little nudge. If not, no one will ever know. Because like I said, I really don't give a darn about who User X is attracted to.
I don't mean to upset or offend anyone. So if it's deemed inappropriate, I'll have no hard feelings if it goes the way of the dodo.
