some people think im a nerd

haha nice system man. Ouch on going the 4gpu route tho. I would never use more then 2 gpus unless i'm folding 24/7.

what your temps on the 920? i'm surprised im pulling 1.476V and only 46C full load on linx. xD the cooler is just a cheap (only paid 22 CAD) on a CM 212 hyper +. :D

haha, well what you using the 2tb external for? if it is just a storage drive 17mbps is good enuff :p

Oh and btw, temps are 32-30-30-33 idle

Never pushes past 55 on prime 95 blend.

difference between teh v6 and 212 isn't big. maybe 2-3 C difference :p

im rocking a phenom ii x2 555 at 4ghz, not an i7.

Every degree is important when reaching high temps.:D An i7 gets a lot hotter then a Phenom II x2, not ? I'm not sure, but I do know that an i7 is a burner.:D And I would get the V6 for both the cooling and look.:D The Hyper is ugly !

Trust me, an i7 is THE burner in processors.

You have to go onto watercooling for it's temps.

Should get a noctua NH-D12 I think it's called, kept my processor alive for about half a year before moving onto water.

Idle temps were 40c on air though Lol. Not even going to tell you the load. haha.

Mind you it was clocked at 4.00ghz.

Oh and it does have AMD brackets, just a bit of a bitch to fit.

probably is a tad bit better at stcok fans. I'm still doing fine with this on, as long as I keep it under 1.5V at 62C I'm good.

55C on load at 4? VERY NICE. Did you get custom fans with that rad? Cause that is very impressive. Those things can handle up to 80+C np. :D

haha it is on current AMD chips but not so much on i7s. 4GHz is practically all you need for a good year or so on a quad (most games just started using 2 cores, and until DX11/10.1 is actually natively supported (i.e. no DX9 settings) then 4 cores are just not needed. BC2 aside of course :p

haha you think the hyper is ugly? hahaahha, :p i agree. it isn't as bad as OOTHHHERRR cooling solutions out there.

OH MAN, you could cook eggs on one of those puppies even with good cooling. xD the i7s were a good successor to core2.

I modded some 1900rpm fans and put them on a 12 volt rail, my uncle has a work shop so he replaced the motors in the fans for 2400rpm motors. I was pretty impressed considering it's only a 240mm rad.

haha pretty impressive!

I think it has something to do with my 920 step d0 aswell, probably got one of the really good batches.

man i can't remember the steppings anymore. i gotta read up on it again.

i think it does have to do with d0.... sounds familure (sorry, i haven't ovrclocked an intel chip for awhile, last one was a 775)...

there is always signifcant difference with the steppings. but i cant remember which ones are good and which ones are bad for overclocking.

930's are supposed to be more heat resistant but I heard they just had a really bad batch and a mega good batch of i7 920's. 920's and 30's are both step d0.

I just always thought I got a decent batch but hey, prolly the steppings :)

PS3 is good for Soul caliber 3 :)

Put a "4" sticker over the 3 and you have yourself a copy of soul calibur 4! Seriously they keep selling the same game over and over again. I got suckered into buying it by this:

I usually stick with Nightmare and Yoshi. Yoda is fun to mess around with too, jumpin' all over the place, not too good with him though. If i'm using Ivy it's pretty much for the tight bondage gear. xD

Yikes!!! Why would you do something like that? I'd love a PS3!

I must admit that I use mine a lot. I used to have a PS2 and I probably switched it on less than 50 times the entire time I had it, but I use my PS3 for playing DVDs (which it does far better than my old DVD player), playing BluRay movies and games. It's the greatest thing ever invented! (OK, well perhaps not, but it is rather good. :))
