I would never just post my picture in a forum. For one thing, strangers at some random website don't need to know what I look like. For another, anyone I know might just happen to find me online and it's none of their business what sites I visit. As for social networking sites, I've yet to join any. If I ever decide to join facebook, I would likely make a very private, unsearchable profile with only a few details. I might post an avatar pic, but I certainly wouldn't go posting all kinds of random pictures of myself or my friends and family. I tend to avoid cameras. I don't like having my picture taken. And I really don't like the idea of other people posting pictures that I'm in and tagging me. I like my privacy and I like to keep a low profile online.

facebook is okay since i personally know everyone I add and i can control my privacy settings, twitter everyone sees so i don't post pictures of like family and stuff. sites like this, i'd never post my picture or real info, i don't know anyone personally or motives.

Erm... depends?

I've done it. I have a Facebook. Had a Myspace once. Accidentally joined Google+ so now I've got one of those too (although I don't use it - don't think anyone really does).

I don't really have a problem posting pictures online, although sometimes I like to go through and delete any I've left up for a bit, heh.

You can remove your Google+ profile without deleting the rest of your Google account/gmail.
