Semen as Antidepressant

I'm always skeptical of studies that are based on surveys. It's an interesting hypothesis, but I would want to see an actual, controlled, clinical study in order to be at all convinced one way or the other.

I don't think semen works as an antidepressant, but sex sure does because of the chemicals it releases in the brain.

but why, then, in the study did the women who had sex with condoms feel more depressed than the ones who took in the semen? wouldn't the condom group and the non-condom group be equally happy if the resulting happiness were based on the chemicals released in the brain alone?

@Absolutely_Sweet_Marie agreed

Yeah, there needs to be some studies rather than surveys. I have actually heard of unprotected sex being good for women emotionally, but it also makes men happier, too. Sex is a good mood improver. Er, so I hear. ::p:

yes, i would be willing to participate

purely in the name of science, of course
Damn, beat me to it. :)

This is interesting. I am much happier, borderline no longer depressed at all, when I am having regular, daily sex (semen exposure :p). It does act like a serious Upper for me.

When I am not, I have a really major down turn in mood-like two days without and I am a basket case...

It's pretty much the only thing that makes me happy anymore.

I have to wonder if there is some validity to this theory, as crazy as it sounded. I have been seriously questioning why sex has had such a powerful effect on me-self gratification is not even comparable. This is also the first time in my life I have praticed unprotected sex with a man-so lots of "exposure" :shyness:

^ I'm definitely a willing participant for something like this. Maybe I'll use it as a pick-up line. :D

But hey, if it makes you happier, April Snow, keep doing it. You're likely making your man very happy, too!

LOL Mikey- use that as a pick-up line ur likely to be slapped!

Yes for me... it's all well and good until the guy w/holds sex.. They know how bad ya need it so it's time to use it against you when they want something or are mad at you. Crazy world, I tell ya. Never thought I would be dealing with this.

Isn't it usually the females withholding sex from the males? What a topsy-turvy world!

Yep, it's almost always the situation.

In my case-Intimacy makes my world go round and sex is the lifeblood for me.
You wouldn't be alone with this. Sex is enjoyable and elevates mood and happiness in both sexes. :)

I can't wait until I start having regular sex! Or any sex!

The name of this thread is a hoot LOL

*tries to think of the female equivalent*

.........

PMS SAVES THE WORLD!
"Female ejaculation as antidepressant"?
"Breast milk as antidepressant"?

Weird I read in Australia, porn showing women ejaculating is banned....so you do believe in it? It is real. I like that one :applause:

Breast milk as a antidepressant-now that is catchy. It has lots of good stuff in it, could be on to something there...

I have not heard that one. Why would it be banned? It's awesome. :)

(Maybe it was banned by one frustrated bloke who couldn't make it happen!)

Could be, although I'm not exactly ready to pour it on my cereal.

In terms of impact on the net, The Australian Sex Party (ASP) suggests the impact could be enormous, as not only are banned sites to be blocked – but also sites that link to banned sites are also in line for blocking. The ASP argue: "There are over one million sites featuring female ejaculation and for Australia to be banning depictions and discussion of this important issue, takes us back into the Victorian era where they didn’t even believe that women could have orgasms."

there's a ASP-sex party in AU?

There is an Australian Sex Party, but I don't think they have a massive say in government, heh. It really would take us back to the Victorian era. It's weird that it's even an issue!

The issue is weather female ejaculation is even real which is like you said, is a bunch of men in power who cannot please women so they deny it's existence-or also they deny the female body would be able to have a pleasure response comparable if not better than male ejaculation.

Trying to shame women and their bodies and keep them down.

There's some other law in the same vein about banning porn with small-breasted women too. What a country!

Here! Proof that seamen can cheer you up!
