or do they say 'terugkeren' ?? :idontknow:
Why, yes...
..we do.
Though, we've just lazily adopted the English terms.

I can't shake the feeling I'm going to die alone and miserable.
Ooh, I'm an "ultimate user" now. Booyah!
I hope that means a user of this board and not a user of something else.
I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks, ladies! I made it through my shift, blowin' my runny nose pretty much the whole time though - ugh. I look like Rudolph now! I don't get another day off until Tuesday, so I hope this thing passes quickly.I know how hard it is to go to work while extremely sick too.
At the last place I worked you had to be dead or in a coma before you were allowed to not come into work for sickness.
I hope your dose of the flu does not last too long BlackSheep.
If you don't have a Facebook you may as well not exist, except to those you come into direct contact with every day. No one uses the phone anymore (voice anyway), and no one uses email for anything other than business. Well, maybe the older generation does, but mine doesn't.
I resent this greatly. My Facebook /= who I am. It is simply a tool to communicate. I don't see anyone adding contacts to their phone simply to have more. I'm sick of the popularity contest and I'm sick of everyone using FB as the only way to keep in touch. I hope something better replaces it, but knowing humans, it will probably turn negative as well...

There are positive things, though. It's not all bad.
I think Facebook is massively convenient and easy to use, it's fun to look through photos, and I wouldn't want to be without it, but I agree with the sentiment of your post. I think sometimes people put too much thought into how they come across on Facebook, and so it does often live up to it's nickname, Fakebook. I prefer to use phone-calls or phone-based instant message systems to communicate with my friends - feels more personal and 'real'.

I must be one of last few people in the Western world left that don't, or never have had, a Facebook page.
This is because I would only have 1 person as my "friend", and don't I want a potential employer checking out my Facebook page to see this weirdo only has 1 friend and has no social life whatsoever!:blushing:
