music can affect SA if you allow it too, it depends whether or not you let it control your emotions, i look at music like a canvas painting that can create an array of colours and emotions, kind of like visiting an art exhibition.
im into indie remixed dance music like the 2 many DJ's style remixing of old garage bands and turning them into something danceable, i highly recommend it because the music is so spontanious and thrilling.
personally i find that most of the music that is played in the top 50 charts to be the most depressing, the black eyed peas, linkin park, good charlotte depress the hell out of me because they only exist to please the label and the radio stations, and also it depends on what kind of heavy music your into, i despise that thrash metal style where the vocalist screams the words and its incoherent, now hard rock music like Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath is heavy music that features brilliant vocalists and catchy choruses backed up with interesting lyrics, same with the who, they were professors in politics and geography.
this decade of music has been the most boring era of music in decades, the eighties and nineties were at least raw and challenging where as these days its just dead.
im into music from groups like Radiohead, the Ramones, Blondie, Public Enemy, Underworld, Sonic Youth, Blur, Beck, Pink FLoyd, Flaming Lips, and the Strokes; and most of the bands i listen to i find inspiring even if its a depressing song at least its creative and realistic.
