i love all music. when I play guitar it relaxes me and its a great way of filling in time and makes me feel im doing somethng productive. Though I still need to actually overcome my nerves to get up and play on stage more often. I play mainly acoustic stuff with vocals but the music i listen to is mainly metal, symphony x my fav band. Also friggin love radiohead, their songs really cheer me up when im down.

I just like listening to music..I don't even know how to categorize them to the different categories as discussed here but as long as I think the songs are nice and catchy, I like listening to it, I couldn't live without listening to my player everyday on my journey on the bus:rolleyes:

Hearing dance music/club music that sounds provocative will realy set off my anxiety.

While if i listen to grunge rock or most bands from late 80's to early 90's i feel safe and upbeat.

I listen to music almost all the time. Sometimes i just have to turn it off cause i realize i need some silence. It helps me distract, it helps me think, it helps me. I also like to sing, and now that i'm getting pretty good i'm not afraid of doing it in "public" anymore, it really improves my mood.

I like rock, soft rock, instrumental(trance, techno), rap, hip hop and R&B. I like the music and heavy fast beats in heavy metal but hate the vocal part, screamin like crazy, annoys the shit outta me

I'd have no idea how I would cope without music. It keeps me going everyday and puts me back on my feet.

If listening to heavy music makes anxiety worse, so be it. Thats all I listen to. Nothing like insane double bass, china cymbals, and breakdowns:D.

Come to think of it... I went from shy to full blown SA about the time that I got into metal... I wonder if thats related.
