I will let you guys know the whole story soon, but I just want to first comment on a couple of statements that I find interesting.
1) If you are experiencing pain discomfort unhappiness for whatever reason, you do not need a doctor to qualify that you are in fact experiencing these things. If you are not feeling right and are seeking medical attention, that's all the qualification you need that you have an illness.
2) Experts have been known to be wrong! Anyone who's had a botched repair job of their car knows what I'm talking about. Human beings, fallible creatures that we are, in any line of work (doctors are no exception), are susceptible to failure. They will not tell you this in fear of hurting their professional credibility, but they do make mistakes. Sometimes frequently! They are not gods!
3) Granted, it certainly helps to have a background in medicine: i.e. a medical degree; an understanding of anatomy, pathology, and all the terminology that goes along with it, but the truth is, all humans are equipped with the most important tools necessary to be diagnosticians: curiosity and imagination. You may not know the terminology or even have basic understanding of what some of the parts do, but you can probably, at least, identify when something looks out of place: “one thing doesn't look like the other” or “the emperor and his cloths”... Any discipline, once you dive into it, reveals itself to be conceptually simpler than when you initially set eyes on it. You just have to dig through the BS... And trust me, there is more BS floating around than you realize... Think outside the box. It may save your life.
4) I created this thread fully knowing I was not going to get professional consultation, so please don't tell me you’re not a doctor or a radiologist. If I wanted a professional’s opinion, I wouldn't have created this thread! It's a moot point.
