Good luck!I'm going right now! :/
Nobody pays attention, and, as Labyrinth pointed out, the ones that do are probably not worth your time. I'm glad you enjoyed your swim and that it's motivated you to keep going.
I live in Australia and it's summer and I haven't gone to the beach. This thread is making me think about going out there and taking a dip.![]()
It's definitely a sin not to, especially in this country. If I feel the motivated and it's warm enough, I will go next week. Wait until summer in California and the beaches will be a little fuller.Go to the beach. It's a sin not too. Even I go to the beach. Actually, even though the beach includes taking off my shirt, which makes me self conscious, it's really the only place I feel comfortable. I just love the combination of sand, sun and water. I love it so much, I don't care what anyone thinks. It rejuvenates me! I feel alive, refreshed and refocused.
Too bad the weather sucks now in California. I would be there tomorrow if the weather was nice.
I just got back. I swam for twenty minutes. Boy, am I out of shape! But, it felt really good! As I was swimming, I was thinking that all of my happiest moments and successes in life included doing something that made me very uncomfortable at first.
I didn't wear a shirt. I'm not going to let negative self-talk stop me from bettering myself. I feel proud. I'm getting back in shape and I'm taking a college course.![]()
*gives high five*
At least you know how to swim!
P.S.- heading to the beach this summer to reduce the fear of exposing skin. Traumatic but hopefully worthwhile endeavor. And no i'm not in shape.
