I've been down this road just last week. Sorry - repeat.
I have a journal due each week for class. First week, I freaked out - but with help from others here, I was able to do it.
Week two: I am completely in tears and frustrated because the teacher tells us to write down what we think others think of us, if we ask people (other than family) what they would think of our personality, relationships with others, etc.
Problem is, I can honestly say I do not have 'friends' I can go up to and ask about what they think of me. I can't exactly make this stuff up. I don't even know where to begin with ME, let alone what someone else might say - besides it would all come out negative.
I asked the teacher if I could do something else in place of this, but he doesn't get it..."just go up to some of your friends and ask them ...."
I really don't think this class is going to work out for me. At least not in the format he has it in. I mean if it were reading chapters in the book, doing a few research papers, some tests, I could do it, no problem, but all this 'feelings' and 'getting to know yourself' stuff is really throwing me off my game. lol
I know he means good, and the concept of it all is well and good, but it is - for some reason - not working for me.
Should I just go to the college Monday and drop this class and use that money to sign up for a different class?
This is stressing me out way too much for a simple college course!
