Hi, Willow. And Welcome. Sorry to hear about you hitting yourself. I've had panic attacks as well, although never hit myself. Do you consciously think about doing it, or is it more impulsive?

Hi Ella & Welcome! :) It's good you have a husband that helps you.. you are lucky that way!

Have you done any CBT for depression? It can be very helpful..
Some people here have managed to overcome agoraphobia or have been actively working on it..

Have you looked if magnesium deficiency could be a factor?

Hi welcome to the forums. What Pycosis do you have? I wasn't clear what you meant by that. Hitting yourself, that is a new one to me. Does it help? Please feel free to PM me if you need to talk to someone.

Feathers- A magnesium defficiancy? What does that have to do with this? Is this something I should know about?

Survivor - I've posted about importance of magnesium and nutrition (and other vitamins and minerals) elsewhere online, haven't you heard of it yet? eg see Psychological Research Foundation -- Panic Attacks (stay away from magnesium oxide, yup)
This site has a lot about magnesium and connection to all sorts of health and mental health problems: Magnesium: Conditions Linked to Deficiencies She recommends to get it with food, if possible, to avoid side-effects.. If you can't get enough with food, only then consider supplements, but be very careful.. (can have side-effects, especially be careful with multivitamins, there may be too much of some vitamins/minerals and not enough magnesium) Food is better..

If you google 'magnesium panic attacks' or 'magnesium nutrition' etc you can find more info..
