Just wanted to make a formal introduction :)

I haven't been officially diagnosed with social anxiety, but coming into university I always felt I was a little too quiet and too nervous when contributing to class discussions and voicing my opinion. I take art courses which require a lot of critiques and public speaking, and I'd say I've improved a lot since my first year! :) I've still got ways to go though. I still get nervous during presentations, and would like to speak up more often in group discussions.

I'd also like to be less shy when meeting new people. I'm fine around my friends and can be friendly and talkative, but sometimes I just freeze up. It makes it kind of difficult meeting new people and potential relationships.

Anyway, if anyone here wants to chat or PM, that'd be great! I'm always up for talking :)

Hi fivepoint, welcome to the forum:)

I know what you mean about freezing up... that happens to me too. For myself, I've been challenging myself to be more open.. and less anxious when meeting people, especially now that I've contemplated searching for a partner.

So far... its easier said, than done lol. Anyway... so, again... welcome to the forum. I know that it has certainly helped me, the short time I've been a member .
