Heart or Mind

Do you tend to think rationally...or do you just follow your gut feeling?

i believe in my heart that the answer is clear

on a forum full of people suffering from Social Phobia, AvPD, and OCD

I would say that instinct is the heart.

I really wish I could say it's my mind. But nope, I'm mostly all heart. Terribly annoying.

Once upon a time I used to go with my mind, and life tended to be pretty safe but dull. Then I started to follow my heart, and things got more...interesting. Not always in a good way.

On balance, I think heart is better. I think it leads to a fuller life. A life lived. You'll get hurt along the way (and you may hurt others) but you'll also experience the excitement of being alive. Follow your head, and you'll have a nice, safe existence.

I always vow to follow my heart but sometimes I have to treat it like an over-excited toddler and say, "No! Not now, wait a second"
My heart feeds my mind. My heart is the child and my mind is the parent that has to take into account the heart's feelings at all time and often gives in to its innocent desires, but sometimes will know when to put its foot down.
I think if you follow heart and do what you truly believe in, you will never have regrets.

I've always envied and admired poeple that seem to have succeeded in harmonizing their hearts with their minds.
