Greatest experiences in your life?

Wow that's an amazing opera to perform in. You said you have a pitch perfect voice. Have you had any other opportunities to sing?

My greatest experience was rebuilding my legs so I could run again after 20 years. And then to run and finish a marathon at 50 years of age. Something which seemed an impossibility.

I think the best of it was finishing the marathon and knowing I could rest. My whole body hurt, but the rest after that was blissful, I was so at peace, such a reward for effort. Every time I woke I could the feel pain of my marathon effort, and so I knew I really had done it, it wasn't a dream.

You never cease to be an inspiration, Kiwong.

I went to a chinese kickboxing interclub when I was 14. I had two fights, the juniors was more like sparring, but it was in front of a few hundred people. I was so passionate about what I was doing. It wouldn't have mattered if there were millions or no people watching. I wouldn't have noticed or cared either way.

Braver man than i. I always wanted to learn a martial art but just never made the time.

Watching my children being born. That tops my list. And saving that little boy in that house fire back in the day. Nothing out of the ordinary but things I'll never forget, nonetheless.

One of mine would be singing in this opera at age 10. It was a fantastic experience! I still know my lines in Italian.

So many great things to be happy about having done here. Thanks for adding all those thoughts and experiences. A wonderful collection so far!

I am sure there's more to come for everyone :)

I spent 2 weeks on a wilderness river and saw not a single soul, but the guy I was with, and some black bears. That was incredible. Almost died in one of the rapids, too. Not fun. But worth it in the end to have gone. I definitely learned then how I want to be a hermit for real. Trying to acclimate into society after that was really hard! I remember stopping in a city on the way home and kinda freaking out. I felt like I left a piece of my soul in the wilderness, and with that river,

You want to know how I got these scars?
All the examples above are simply awesome guys!
It's really good to hear what's made you feel alive :)

Personally (apart from raising my two boys) I'd have to say my best experience was my New Zealand holiday in late December 2013.
The whole trip was just fantastic.
From skydiving and bungy jumping, and driving a Lamborghini Matador and Ferrari in Queenstown, horse riding in Punakaiki, flying around Mt Cook in a chopper, a private tour of the Hobbiton movie set (which was like a pilgrimage for me lol) to hiking the Milford Track with my 14 yr old son over 5 days... It was a truly special 3 weeks.

I felt like I grew as a person...

I think this is great that people share what they are proud of because there's way to much sadness and lack of self worth here. Talk about the best times you have had and focus on them instead of worrying about stuff so much.

Pushing my boundaries again, another great experience I have had so far..

I rode my green broke filly for a whole summer in the mountains chasing cows with my friend who was a rancher and had about 200 head of cattle. Basically being a cowgirl-now that was a trip and a half for me! A dream come true to be able to do that considering I grew up in a city and she was my first horse. He, my rancher bud, also boosted my confidence by complimenting me on my skills with horses, and my riding ability...coming from he who was born on a horse that was also a huge boost for me. I really want go back to riding in the mountains full time like that again.

January 5-25th. 20 days of heaven. I had more energy than ever before. I was happier than I ever remember being. I was much stronger. My sleep was much, much better. I had the energy and cognition to do whatever I wanted. I felt my age. I had times where I had no anxiety, no depression, no stress, no tension, just bliss. It was heaven. I was more productive than ever before. I felt absolutely fantastic.

Last year I went on a boat trip around Lord Howe Island out to Ball's Pryamid. We watched Providence Petrels glide and dip masters of ocean swell and current. Strom Petrels danced liked ballerinas on the water surface. Albatross, long wings outstretched, flew by much faster than the boat. A dolphin surfaced neared the boat and then dived under disappearing from sight.

The boat did a loop around Ball's Pyramid, a massive sea stack rising 500 metres straight out of the sea. It's sides stained with the droppings of millions of seabirds. This island is the only known location for the endangered Lord Howe Island Phasmid.

This place is so wild to be beyond the reach of humans. It was a chance to witness the earth expressing itself to me its fortunate observer.

That's a pretty big question...

I think going to a Coldplay concert was one of the best things I ever did. I really enjoyed it.

Going to Disney world with my mom and Grandparents is probably the best experience I've ever had. In all honesty, my life thus far has been incredibly boring and uneventful, with brief moments of things going better than average or going completely down the tubes.
