recently turned 20 and this new years was the first official drinking party i attended. went with my friend and her friend and when we got there, there was a group of people huddled in a few subgroups. it didn't seem like there was a lot to do at first and it seemed kinda awkward. then we drank and the party got better and all we were doing was sitting at a table or walking around and watched music videos on tv and hugged a lot mostly. i guess this is why people like alcohol. after drinking it just calmed me down enough to stay until the ball dropped plus an hour. when it was over it i was happier though :S soo happy new year :)

Even when I was drunk I'd still have problems at parties. Maybe it was just me. The minute I walked in there I was uncomfortable. It was always the same thing, there were groups of people chatting it up, and the only way to talk to anyone would be to butt into a conversation, and even if I got the courage to do that, I had no clue what to say or to how to keep the conversation going. Parties were a disaster for me usually.

what parties are you attending? :)
I've been drinking since 14 (thats the norm here) on various occasions and at parties, and I wish I had ever experienced any hugging :p

I spent my new years eve with a small group of friends from school way back, an a couple of their girlfriends. Heavy drinking, cigars, great food, games, etc, luckily it was very enjoyable :)

Haha this is great to hear! I've never been to a drinking party but I agree drink definitely makes me feel more at ease.

Yea coming in a conversation can be hard because who knows what theyre talking about. One of the first things i said was how the alcohol looked like perfume bottles but at least it was attempted
