Yes it is hypocritical.
But it's also a bit self-critical, and a recording of a feeling I experience. With this thread I hoped to gain some understanding of the phenomenon of annoyance. I try my best not to let myself be bothered by pet peeves, but then I notice most other people don't try at all, and instead just let their negative feelings surface in dirty looks etc. That in turn annoys me.
So yeah, annoyance is probably something occuring in every human, no matter how much we condition ourselves to be tolerant of other people.
I am the same way. My immediate reaction is to judge people, situations or places. I get bothered by the smallest things when I am not intently focused on accepting things the way they are and living in the moment. Then I get self-critical for judging things and it's a huge cycle that doesn't stop until i make the decision to accept everything the way it is.
