Does anyone else do this?

I always study people in the reflections on the windows. If i stared at them as carefully as i do the reflections, it'd probably really freak them out, i'd seem like a really creey person, but i like to see the facial expressions, and the way they hold their hands, and the way a person sits, and guess what their life is like, where they're going, whether they're happy or sad or tired.
everynow and then catch myself doing that kind of thing by obvious staring and feel so bad about making them uncomfortable and like such a weirdo

All the time. especially on buses and metros. Being an artist, I find myself examining people's faces; every one is unique and beautiful in its own way. I try to observe and pick up the littlest details that might tell me something aobut their lives. I think that's my way of getting to know these people I'll never have a chance to talk to.

Nowadays as my self-image is getting better (I used to think I'm ugly), more and more I'm just looking at people straight up. Of course I'm always careful not to make eye-contact or stare so as to make them uncomfortable.

Used to do the exact same thing on the train when i lived in the city. I took it one step further and drew the faces on a sketchbook, and hid my sketches if anyone passed by. For whatever reason I've always been drawn to sketching faces and expressions.

All the time, more with faces than anything else. I do a lot of drawing (well..more like doodling these days) and my favorite thing to draw are faces. If you're in any of my classes or someone I see everyday, I've probably memorized the curve of your eyebrows, the shape of your eyes, the shape of your nose bridge and nostrils, how high your cheeks are, how long your chin is, and an abundance of other miniscule things. It's gotten to where I can draw caricatures/cartoon renditions of people from memory after only seeing them passingly over a week's time. I think it's pretty cool :)

I do that all the time lol..ur not alone on this and come to find out my mom does the same thing. I do it when someone is driving and were on the freeway I look at almost every person and I wonder...are they rich, what kind of job do they have, are they going for lunch, how does their house look. Yes it sounds like im a weird but im not I just find myself always thinking about everyone else's life and what their life is like.

ahhaha, I always do that on the metro.
I mean, I can't just stare to the ground forever, my neck starts to hurt, besides, everywhere I look there's a person.. so awkward.

so I just stare at the glasses :)

I do this too! I am the worst at staring at people. My aunt and friends get so embarrassed by it, they call me rude but I find it really fascinating to watch people. I judge how they're feeling by their body language and facial expressions. I imagine the same thing, where they're going, how they're feeling and what their life is like. I do this especially in the car. If I'm pulled up next to someone I'll watch them in their car. Makes me sound like a creeper lol. I don't blatantly do it of course but I can't help it. I'm a watcher.

Oh my god i thought i'm the only one who do this !
I am so interested in the body langauage since i have bought a book about it, i do analyze every move tryning to come up with interpretations !
sometimes i do it because i want to learn how to act when i am in the same position, when the professor gives his lectures ,for exemple, i don't focus on what he says, but i focus on his body language and where he looks all the time! Sometimes i wake up to find out that i missed the whole lecture and that i have understand nothing !

Yep i also do this on a regular basis when i am shopping. I also people watch from a distance so then they can't tell you are watching/studying them.
Apart from wondering about their lives, i also watch how they interact with other people. As if i could learn some things from watching other people doing this.

I do that! I sometimes wonder if i will ever be able to drive, because if i'm riding shotgun in a car, and i'm at a redlight, i look over to the other cars and notice they are staring right at me... i hate that.

I don't know, I kind of keep my head down all the time because I think THEY are staring at me, which I can't stand. Occasionally, I take a peak at others. I really just try not to look at people anymore because it frustrates me that I can't have a life like them or if I see a pretty girl I feel left out as though I could have her but the life I lead denies her to me.

Nothing wrong with subtle people watching. According to me at least. It is the most interesting thing about being around other people for me.

Oh GOD, we social phobics are so sensitive, poetic, afraid, subtle.
We have souls made of glass.

We are like those birds that you give a step 1km behnid him and he goes away, and when you pass at the place he used to be, he is staring at you, sad and scared, with that melancolic and tired look that only we know how to do.

Peace for all of us, we deserve. Maybe Social Phobia is the most terrible disorder ever noticed, I can go to the pitt of the bottom in a matter of seconds.

Yesterday I was coming home and a neighbour passed by and I said, in a forced happy tone: "Hi! How are you?" and the guy didn't answer a thing to me and put his body in other direction of the sidewalk to not see me.

I came home depressed as hell, and very nervous, lied down at bed. Then, I started to think about all the things I have read here and at books, and tried to understand the situation for what it is and not for what my sick mind wants it to be. And I could get out of bed and continue my day battle.

Social Phobia is an incredible enemy...
Keep fighting sufferers of the world. We are together in pain and faith.
