Do you hate seeing yourself in photos?

I always look better in the mirror than a photograph. I seem to go all stiff like a plastic dummy as soon as the camera comes out.
I had a reply from a dating site yesterday she said '' you look hot get in touch''. How the hell she got hot from the picture I posted I will never know, she either needs glasses or is easily pleased but my sister is always saying '' its a good job you have a cute face''. Do people say these things for fun or do they see qualities in us that we cannot.

I got called "hot" and a guy i was "seeing" wanted naked pictures of me. I was like "what the hell?" I think he must have asked for my picture so he can show his friends and laugh at me or something. :sarcastic:

YES very often and especially pics that are taken by others. My face and body just doesn't look harmonious and my nose in particular is what bothers me the most because it looks so bumpy and big.

There's lots of pics of myself when I was a teen in my mother's locker. My God was I ugly as a teen, honestly when I see those pics I start to cry because I can't believe i've walked around looking like that. I want to burn those pics but my mum would hate me forever if I did that. I think (and hope) I look a little better in pics today but i'm still struggling with seeing myself. The worst is taking the pic for an ID card. I look horrendous every time.

Oh yes, I get anxious when someone takes a picture of me. Many times, what I see in the mirror is different from what I see in the photos. I would think I look ok after seeing myself in the mirror but when I have my picture taken, I look different and it makes me question whether I'm being biased about my own looks in the first place.

me three. i hate pictures. especially when people upload it on FB and then there's nothing you can do about it.
i prefer not knowing and pretending. keeps me sane.

i also avoid looking in the mirror.
the one in my room has better lighting so makes me appear better than i actually do.
in natural lighting, even i can't stand the sight of my face (everyone i meet feels the same way). pic or no pic, im still ugly

I'm sure you're not ugly. :)

I can't act naturally if there's a camera in my face. I just can't. I KNOW that i'm awkward. I don't need a frigging picture to remind me!

I don't photograph well. My smile looks dumb and my forehead always looks too oily. That and I'm not that attractive to begin with, so pictures of me just look like crap.

yes i hate my pics being taken.
i never ever look right the reason being i m not good looking so ..why should i face the camera.
but then what can i do about it.

I actually look better in photographs, to me, than in the mirror. I usually think "Damn, I'm even sexier than I thought.

At work, they wanted to take pics of us to use in a video that is being made about our department. Hell no! There's no way I want my ugly mug in that for everyone to see! :no:
